Alrighty fellers, the 2009 season is upon us! Monte, Bonnie, Mark, and Lois were gracious enough to let me hang on for one more year, and I am so thankful. If this year will be your first at the track, then Mark will surely spoil you with the smooth operation he runs. I've now worked with five different track organizations, and STT has the best group of staff and customers, IMO!

I will use this thread to update everyone on the goings-on with Dviant Image, but as always you can check the blog on the BRAND NEW www.DviantImage.com. I keep the site updated with some good content, so please bookmark it and frequent it, ummm frequently.

    Don't Go Nekkid!
What's the newest big thing for 2009 when it comes to your track experience with STT? I've gotta say (and I'm biased of course), it's the new apparel line of designer tees featuring YOU! That's right, Dragr. Apparel is sliced bread's successor, and you can get you on a tee!

    $65

There is a ladies version which I don't have photos of yet, but that one will be $78.

    $38

I'll throw up more images as they come in. I'm working on a hoodie right now, and I'm hoping to have it ready by time the first date rolls around.

The website for Dragr. does not have all the products just yet because I'll be revamping it over the next month or so. The tees are ready, the online store isn't. If you're looking to grab one of these tees, then just email me.

    What about regular old photography?

First up, I know we live in this new age time of new fangled things and knick-knacks. We live quickly, and we speak quickly. I understand what a "pic" is, but they're taken by your phone or that nifty point-n-shoot you keep in your glove compartment. I take photographs. So please, keep that in mind :-D

Why don't I proof on site? The reason is simple: quality. Not everything that I shoot is a gem, and I want the opportunity to go through them before you see them. Also, my prices are low, and to keep them that way, I don't haul a mobile dark room and keep a staff. It's usually just me at the track. So in return for your patience, you get the highest quality photos available (again IMO) for an extremely reasonable price.

    What's the price?
    $40 for the day
    $60 for the weekend

That price tag is for full resolution digital files on CD for personal use. CD'S ARE ONLY AVAILABLE AT THE TRACK! Why? Again, back to the quality issue, but this one is a bit long winded. In a nut shell, I want you to put my shots in your daily life - on the wall in your bedroom or living room, on your chest with Dragr. T, but not your garage. That means I need to control the quality of print all the way to production, and thus I would rather not release control of my digital files. Most pro wedding photogs won't sell digitals except at an extremely high price. I don't need a lot of money for my digitals - I just need a little faith - because you can't proof these on-site.

This year, I would like one person to get a 40x60 Museum Canvas. Just one. This thing is absolutely magnificent, and not one track customer got one. I know $500 is steep for something you just look at, but the nauseous arrhythmia caused from a momentary glimpse of you cranked over on a Museum Canvas will coerce you to hire your own in-house paramedics!

    Stepping It Up

Last year's equipment was professional, but I saw those guys who shoot MotoGP who make $250K a year, and they weren't using what I was using. This winter I cut back on a lot of social activity, sold my beloved Ducati, and all but completely quit women chasing to get the real-deal camera equipment. Wait until you see the Hubble Space Telescope!

For real, though - It's a Canon 300 F/2.8 L Series lens, and I replaced my Canon 40D with a Canon Mark 1D IIN. If you're curious and you have 5 minutes, just go look at the prices ^_^

I'm ready to rock, and you better be too! I'll see you at the track!

    Here's the schedule:

Tuesday: Charge credit cards, send out your receipts, edit, and upload. I also have some client work I need to finish up, so Tuesday will be a long one!
    Wednesday: Fill Orders
    Thursday: Fill Orders
Friday - Monday: Off for Deal's Gap and some hiking. Anyone wanna join?

I'm pretty sure that I can have all orders sent out by Thursday. Photo orders should arrive early next week, and custom t-shirt orders will be up to two weeks from Friday.

I wish it could always be that way, but since there were so few people there, I took much fewer shots. That means less editing time, less upload time, and less time taken to fill each order. That all adds up in the end. In fact, I'm about to start the upload tonight if my computer will hurry up (I need a Mac!). After that, I'm filling until I'm done. I bet I can knock them out tomorrow, which would really help my timeline this week.

Thanks again everyone. Make sure you keep an eye on the blog.

    TGPR April photos are online.

    NEW PRICING!

Due to overwhelming bugging, I have begun to offer a 15 for $50 and a 5 for $30 deal as well as lowering the price on single digital photos. What this means is let's say you don't want to take advantage of the awesome deal at the track where you get all the photos I have of you plus the pit shots for $40, and you would rather see them before you buy. No problem! You can select any 5 shots for $30 or any 15 for $50, and download them the next day!

    How's that for cool?

yo Ben, I know you can't select the size yet. I'm not a master with Zencart, so I'm switching it to use the same system the Dviant Image site has when I get the time. Whenever you put in an order, there is a place for comments; just put your size right in there, if you wouldn't mind!

    Thanks!

I do professional photography as well and I can vouch the equipment kendrick is using is NO JOKE! Canon makes the best, and a good photographer is nothing without the best glass (lens) and he has em!

    Tally photos

Thanks Kendrick for the disc with all my shots. It was an unexpected bonus to get all the pit shots included on there. Thanks!!!!
The pics are brilliant, especially the ones from the inside of what I think is 7. (the old skid pad) I actually feel fast when looking at them, the reality of slowness not being a concern while at the computer screen.
    Awesome work, really appreciate it.
