    THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT.

Hey... here's a couple fun things for this event:

    1) Thermosman will be with us for Suspension
    2) Food concession will be Bruno (the normal folks) - with breakfast and lunch

And while I have your attention I need to make mention of our rider's meeting - IF YOU MISS THE RIDER'S MEETING, YOU WILL NOT RIDE. Too many people seem to assume this is a "soft" policy - it's not. If you're not there, you won't ride.

Again, this event is SOLD OUT. There will be no trackside signups, and don't assume you can bump a group up if you happened to buy the wrong group. You ride the group you purchased - like at the Hilton, if you bought a double queen room, you can't change to the king when it's sold out.

Gates open 5:30pm Friday night and stay open til 10:00pm, if you make it in by 10:00pm you can then come 24/7, if you don't make it by 10:00pm gates re-open Sat at 7:00am-9:00pm and Sun 7:00am-4:00pm. Barber is in the Central Time Zone.

There is a $5 per person, per day, gate fee for Sportbike Track Time events at Barber. Barber now takes cash or card.

We ride R*** or shine, please come prepared for Southern rain showers.

You must walk to the Porsche building and get your wristband before you can get into the paddock. If you need camping or electric, you can pay for that when you get your wristband. Again, this will be open at 5:30pm on Friday.

If you arrive early please park where the gate guard directs you to park (which will be lot G).

If you are there early, DO NOT, and I repeat, DO NOT approach the Porsche/registration building until 5:30pm or directed to do so by the guard or track management.

No drinking of beer or alcohol allowed in parking areas and no changing bike oil in parking areas.

No glass bottles are allowed in the Barber paddock - bring plastic cups!

Camping is available and you pay the track for that.

Electric is available in the lower pits against the fence and in the upper pits in both sides and you have to pay the track for that.

PLEASE: use common sense for selecting your pit space. If you did not pay for power, please do not pit in front of a power pole. Please do not pit lengthwise, taking up multiple power spots, even if you did pay for power. If your rig is such that you do need to pit lengthwise, please do so in a corner of the paddock that does NOT take up multiple power spots. Note that the first tier around the tech area and in front of the building is reserved space - if you pit there without permission you will be asked to move.

Thermosman will be with us this weekend!

Sportbike Tire Service will be there with their usual awesome prices on Michelin (AND Dunlop) Tires.

Tire service will be open Friday night 7:00pm-9:00pm to help you out. Then 7am to 7pm Saturday, 7am to 4pm Sunday. We can now remove and replace your wheels for you if you do not want to get greasy.

Sign-up opens 7am and closes at 10:30am for the day. Please be on time.

Tech opens 7am and closes 10:30am each day.

Please note some NEW tech rules regarding GoPro (or similar) cameras:

    - all Gopros mounted on a motorcycle must have a tether from the camera case to a point on the motorcycle.

    - helmet mounted Gopros are not allowed at all on track

    - in our novice group, Gopros are not allowed on track in the morning sessions - in the afternoon sessions they are fine as long as the above rules are followed.

Mandatory riders meeting 8:20am EACH AND EVERY day, Intermediate riders are first on track at 9am.

Sorry to say, pets are NOT allowed at Barber.

Showers are available on the second and third levels.

Race gas and street gas is available on second level, credit cards only.

Please keep your area clean and do not leave any race gas cans or tires when you leave.

We must be out of the paddock by 7pm Sunday night!

Any questions, please post up here.

This is my first track day. I was told to zip tie my passenger pegs, remove my mirrors, remove fuse for headlight and tape up all lights. I've got fresh tires, brake pads, and new brake fluid. Is there anything else I should take care of before Saturday to make sure things go smoothly with tech?

    Hello,
Is it better to leave my trailer and bike at the paddock overnight or take it with me to the hotel?
Thank you, for any advice on this question.

I love your mindset of preparedness - it's a lost art these days! Sounds like you're good to go - make sure wheel weights are taped up, and valve stems have caps. Might want to unhook the brake light too, or at least make sure it has enough tape that we don't see it..... either way is cool. One layer of painter's tape isn't enough to hide the actuation of the light.

I would leave it in the paddock - Barber has excellent security, far better than any hotel.

I leave my trailer at the track all the time, and stay at hotel. Never had any issues, always the best option, better security and surrounded with track family!
