Barry (sorry, I don't know your last name or your username),

You asked me for feedback after I rode in intermediate at ACC South last Sunday, 5/25.

Without question, you should move up to intermediate. If I can do it, you most definitely can. You won't have to spend the entire morning doing parade laps and one-gear drills. It's high speed riding starting at 9am (after warm-up laps, of course). Plus, you get much more pit time because you're not running off to class most of the day, listening to lectures you've heard 20 (!) times before. If you do need help, there are plenty of control riders at your disposal.

My fears that the I group would be like the wild west were unfounded, at least for Sunday. I just "cruised" on the long straights and let the superbikes, and faster riders in general, get past me. I passed two riders all day -- one ran off the track, and the other was bumped down to novice!

If you're signed up in Novice in the future, email STT and switch to Intermediate -- you won't be sorry. I switched all the days that I was able to.

PM me, or post here, if you have any questions.

    -Alex
