I second the motion to eliminate the back chicane. I think it will be safer without it. Line of site braking is better straight up than braking for a blind corner leaned over.
Huh? There's plenty of room to brake after the kink, there's no reason not to go wfo through there and do most of your braking before the chicane, trailing into the right hander, getting back on the gas through the left & up the hill.
Ride it once without it and you will never want to ride it with it again. While it is a fun corner, it is a breeding ground for a real bad wreck. I love the corner when i am by myself but with a group around you there is too much speed and to many people trying different lines. It is the only corner on that track that i feel really unsafe with traffic around. I have had too may close calls there. Say what you will but I have tried it both ways and i feel much more safe without it.
I'll have to jump into the "no-chicane" camp. It gives you a welcome chance to relax and breath running thru the back without it. I'm easy to please regardless.
