buy what you can afford, its not always easy for someone to buy a $1000 generator. If you can then by all means, the honda's & yamahas are a bought once & bought right. The snobby attitudes of "take your shit elsewhere" is pretty annoying. But to answer your questions, yes the 2000 honda EU series will easily handle what you are throwing at it.

I don't have that attitude however if you realize your generator is annoying please do not put it on a 50ft cord to get it away from you with the exhaust pointed at me. The thing is annoying enough without the extra load of line drop and if you do not want to hear it neither does you neighbor.

However I agree if you have a slam and bang as it is all you can afford and keep it either in your area or where YOU take more noise than your neighbors then ride on :thumb: Of course if it running all night to power your A/C I retract my statement and turn that POS off :pound:

Would need to know peak current information on equipment you plan on running from the gen. Once you know that you can do an easy calculation on how large of a gen you will need. amperage * voltage * power factor = wattage (you can divide that # by 1000 and that will give you your KW)

ex. 30 amps (peak, not RMS) running on a 120V outlet would be approximately 2880 watts, or 2.8KW.

Let me know if you have any questions on sizing...kind of part of my job :)

I had to "take my (quiet) shit elsewhere" last time I was at the track because some guy with a Class C motorhome was using the loudest POS generator I have ever heard. I found that pretty annoying too.

:pound: last time dog racing there was one that was fairly awful. I know them and the wife asked why mine was so quiet. So I shared my methods to improve theirs.

Most people won't be a douche about it... but it is nice to just give others a thought.

The quiet boards do work well, too.

I have been satisfied with a Champion 3100 (Model 75531i)
not quiet as quiet and the yamonda but pretty damn close
under 1000 bucks all day long and 2800 watts, 3100 peak

runs warmers and a 13,000 BTU rooftop in my cargo trailer

im that guy running with the obnoxious genny a 3k Honda commercial genny from the mid 00's its a champ and runs 2 sets of warmers.. a large fan and 2 helmet fans...

I attempt to keep it quiet with some long cords and facing it the opposite way... and never closer to others than me... and I never run it at night

if you wanna buy me a quiet genny by all means do so... you have a problem with my genny... and I was there first.. find someplace else to pit..

other than than a 2k will do you fine for that...
I agree whole heartedly that never so much thing as to much genny.. its like a garage.. always want bigger

Q: What's the difference between your generator and an a10?

A: One fires up its cannon and people run for the hills out of fear for their life. The other is an airplane.

I want to upgrade my generator, and was looking at those Ryobi units. home Depot has a special right now, buy two get the parallel kit. I need to run 6 tire warmers, 15K Air conditioner, and maybe electric griddle, toaster oven, and microwave. Now I can be prudent, so in the morning, I can make breakfast and the tire warmers will not be on. Again at lunch tire warmers will be off. Dinner will be more difficult, probably air blowing full force, microwave running and maybe even need the electric griddle and toaster oven. Of course I can manage not running all 4 at once, but probably need 2 running at the same time.

So the question is, would two 2K units in parallel run say

15K air unit and 6 tire warmers.
    or
15K air unit and say a microwave for 6 minutes on full
    or
15K air unit and the toaster over and electric griddle

I currently have a 7K unit that I have had air, one box fan, two helmet fans, and 4 tire warmers. No issue. Just wondering if moving down to 4K unit would cause issues?

Yes... you need at least 3500 for the ac, 1000 for each set of warmers. I wouldn't go below 6000w.
