I'll be there both days in the A group. Red Duc 1098 w/ white number plates. I am looking forward to returning to Gingerman, as it was the venue for my first trackday ever, exactly one year ago.
It's going to be a hot and humid weekend!!! The forecast seems to be getting better and better as the weekend gets closer Although, we may get a little wet while camping on Friday. This is from www.accuweather.com In the past, I've found that this website has been more accurate than weahter.com Friday, Aug 7 High: 77 °F RealFeel®: 77 °F Rather cloudy with a thunderstorm Friday Night, Aug 7 Low: 68 °F RealFeel®: 66 °F A couple of showers and a heavy thunderstorm; cloudy and humid Saturday, Aug 8 High: 91 °F RealFeel®: 94 °F Humid and warmer with intervals of clouds and sunshine Saturday Night, Aug 8 Low: 73 °F RealFeel®: 76 °F Mainly clear, warm and humid Sunday, Aug 9 High: 93 °F RealFeel®: 97 °F Mostly sunny, breezy, hot and humid with a thunderstorm possible Sunday Night, Aug 9 Low: 69 °F RealFeel®: 70 °F Partly cloudy and humid; a thunderstorm or two late
Kepp your fingers crossed will_f3 but I still think its too early yet. They had 40% for sat and 0% for sun 3 hours ago 86 and 90 for a high and now its 60% sat 30% sun with 84 and 87. Go figure.
Yeah... it is Michigan afterall, and anything is possible..... I'm surpised that they aren't calling for snow
You have to all stop looking at the forecast!  Someone once said, the more you look at it, the worse it gets, so just stop
Update: I don't have to bring the family dog with me -- Yeah! I'll be riding my SV650, but I'll be accompanied by dozens of Duc enthusiasts from Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin and hopefully other states. Should be a great time! This is the first time I'll be sleeping at the track for the DucFest.
Alex, I will see at the track. I should be arriving around 7pm. Keep your eyes out for Chris. He has a red Yukon and a double axel enclosed trailer. He usually gets a spot with electric. Take care and ride safe, Brian
Is there anyone in the Chicagoland area that would be able to give me a ride home from the track Sunday evening?
I can't help it..... I'm addicted to the forecast!!  Anyway, everyone have a safe trip to Gingerman..... it's going to be a great weekend!!!!
Anyone in A on Sunday coming by themselves and want to pit up? Couldn't get anyone to come with me this weekend, and I've never ridden at Gingerman before.
Rumor has it there may be some sort of undersized motorized vehicle competition going on Saturday evening. What time might this start if it were to start. We are coming up Saturday and just want to make sure that if something like this were to happen we would be positioned to take advantage of it.....
Hey Vicki - I'm driving thru the chicago area Sunday evening - depending on how far off the freeway (it is a 48 ft rig) I could at least get you close if you have a friend that could meet ya for the final leg or something - black f250 and charcoal 14ft enclosed trailer, red #172 sv650 and blue "The doctor .46" R1 in the pits. If nothing else let me know.....
Never been to Gingerman before, and looking at some satellite views of the grounds, doesn't look like there's too much paved area to pit/park a bike, assuming that the weekend will be really crowded. I'll be there on Sunday, but should I expect to have to pit and park the bike in the grass (or mud as the forecast would have us believe)?
There is a lot pavement for the bikes to pit. You'll have to park your trailer/car/motor-home in the grass though. Look for a Sprinter IF for some reason you can't find space to pit your bike, I am sure you can pit next to mine.
