I second his question on air being available.

might be a long shot, but anybody near chicago area able to tow me and my buddy to gingerman? This will be my first track day along with my buddy and we don't have a truck nor know anybody with a truck. Any ideas on how to get down there? Was thinking of riding there, doing the track day Saturday, and then hotel room overnight and leave Sunday. Seems to be the only definite way of getting there at the moment.

Uhaul. Rents little open motorcycle trailers that can be pulled by almost anything with a hitch. Or rent a van.

    from 6ft under.....

If you can get to track before the gate closes, you can drop your bike off even if you are not staying there. Usually it’s much safer than in a motel parking lot. USUALLY

don't have anybody available or any vehicles to use for the trailer. I dont have a hitch on my car either. That's what I was hoping for to get a hold of a car from one of my family members with a hitch but nobody has one or at least that is close enough. Might be looking into riding out to GMAN from Chitown

Since this is the first STT trackdays there this year I cannot be 100% positive, but in the past the track has had air. If not the guys doing tires will, plus a lot of guys either bring a tank of air or an air compressor. So getting air is not a problem.

I put a couple of extra PSI (35 front & 25 rear)in my tires at home and then bleed them down in the morning at the track.
Also a bicycle pump would be fine for the couple of PSI you would need to adjust your tires.

Yup. Set 'em a little high at home and as the day warms at the track you'll be removing air anyway. +1 on the bike pump. too.

I'm wearing my suit right now in an effort to stretch it out for Saturday. It must have shrunk over the winter because I don't remember it being this tight. Strange thing is I think all of my belts shrunk too.

My wife asked me if I will be sleeping in it. I think I might have to. :)

Eat a little less, drink more H2O, go out of your way to get a tiny bit more cardio training in and your suit will be stretched back out in no time...?
