My friend (Sean) and I will attend out first track day there any advice? I will be riding my 2008 250R and He will be on his 2007 R6. Were both signed up for novice and looking forward to this trip. We wont be camping as he lives about 45 min away. We look forward to meeting everyone. A couple questions, if I may. What time should we arrive at the track? Is there a perfered place to park? Besides a canopy drinks and lunch should we bring anything else that isnt obvious?? Last but not least, Who else is going?? Well have the Gray or Blue chevy truck and trailer. (not sure who's driving to the track)
    Thanks all, Kevin

I am usually at the track around 7:30
Park anywhere you would like. I will have the Blue #41 R6 (if you want look for me.)
I get dropped off, my wife and kids are going to Lk. Michigan for the day.

    1) Bring your key (don't laugh it has happened)
    2) Water lots of it
    3) Ear protection

I'll be there(intermediate) blk/yellow 07 gix 1k, and so will my dad for his first TD , so he will be in novice as well(white/silver 08 gix 600).

Make sure to bring your fun hat, cause you gonna have a ton of it lol.

from gate go straight and go past first drive right, then second, after there are nice places to park due to the larger areas of cement in front of them ...just my opinion

oh and the direction for the pits are clockwise(so if ya make a left...well don't) :)

Above all, bring an open mind to learn. Check your ego at the gate and the rest will follow.

Well dont worry about me and my ego, having only 31 horsepower is a humbling experience. We are both going to LEARN, not show off.

    Yes I am. :p

Thanks on the vid compliment! It's fun to put together. The GoPro isn't the best cam of the lot but it's small, easy to move around the bike and cheap to boot.

GingerMan is pretty straight forward. It's petty easy to figure out, but gets tougher as you add speed.

Cross the seams, Don't ride along them.

Don't go into Turn 3 too hot. It's a deceasing radius turn, with slight camber changes. That combo tends to catch a few people out every event.

The track is bumpy in a few places. Stay loose on the bars & it/you will be fine.

I will be working that weekend, not sure what group though. I'll also be using a set of Power One tires for the first time. Gingerman is notoriously hard on tires so it'll be trial by fire!

Take it easy where the end of the hot pit lane transitions into the track entrance. People have crashed there.

I'll be there next weekend, prolly instructing Novice one day & ruining a tire the other.

I'll be there both Saturday and Sunday in Intermediate on my Rizla replica SV650.

On Sunday, I'll probably be pitted next to brilama. I have a dark blue 4Runner and matching dark blue trailer. My kids will be with me at Gingerman. They've never seen me ride at the track before -- it should be a lot of fun for all of us.
