My Local bike store is selling those 4300 2009 model for around $375. The newer models have disc brakes on them. I tried the 2009 4300, it's a bit heavy IMO.

That bike is too tall. I am 5'11 - inseam 32. I tried 17.5, 18.5 and 19.5. I was comfortable on a 17.5 and 18.5 than on 19.5. It's easy to throw around a smaller bike than a taller one on trails.

DOH! Should've read this first... I've already picked it up now. I rode it around a little bit before I bought it though, and it didn't feel overly tall to me. I've got some crazy long legs though, and kind of a short torso. I can see where a 19" would be a little easier, but for the price, it ain't bad. I figure if this is something I'm going to get into seriously come spring/early summer, I can sell this for just about what I've got in it and get something better.

Assuming I don't trash this one in the mean time.

I think new, these were priced at $539 MSRP, probably going for $4something on sale. From what I found looking around, it seems pretty decent, especially since it was local and I didn't have to pay shipping or tax or anything.
