Tried GP once on my 02' R1. First time out on the street I slammed the front down going from second to first about 2 miles from the house. Might as well see how well I bounce off the tank. It was less than impressive than I thought. I rode way to much dirt at that time to change over one bike and still have one standard. Everything is standard since.

I tried it for about two months before I changed back. That was the only missed shift I had. I just never really made the change mentally. I always had to think which bike I was on.

Though I am not a rider, I would think with GP it would be much easier to make upshifts in a full tuck and down shifts sitting upright. I thought that was the whole thinking process of 1 vs the other. Tdub

I like go shift. It just works better for me. Easier to move my foot around while sitting up and on the brakes because the bike is kinda unsettled anyway. Its so simple to push the shifter down durring hard acceleration while tucked in. Clutchless shifts are seamless.
