Had a GREAT weekend at Grattan! Despite the cold temps, a great group of people came out to play and learn, and a good time was had by all. We kept the ambulance stationary, and the crash truck stayed in the paddock as well. A few minor lowsides was the worst of the weekend, and everyone got up and rode away from their incident.

I ran around in Intermediate & Advanced on Saturday offering advice where I saw it was needed, and saw great improvements in the riding of many riders out there. Everyone wisely took it easy in the chilly morning temps, only to be rewarded with an afternoon of [mostly] sunshine and temps. near 50°. Made for a great day...

Sunday, I had a Novice group that really reminded me why being an instructor is so great. The 5 guys in my group all kept an open mind, asked great questions, and absorbed my input like sponges. Noticeable improvements in riding were the theme for the day. I also got out in a few Advanced sessions and had a blast riding around with some fast guys. Sad that it was the last event of the year, but glad I can say that the season ended on a high note!

Thanks to all involved for a truly great weekend. Looking forward to another great year with STT. 2010 is almost here already!!

I would like to thank Jesse (Duc 996), my Novice coach on Sunday. He had excellent tips and was truely concerned about our learning experince. Thanks again Jesse!!

I also had a great time despite the weather. I was actually very comfortable after the 2nd session. It was great fall riding weather.

I would like to thank everybody at the event. It was my first track day and I was nervous! But everybody there was super cool and helped me out. I had the black cbr600rr (street body work). I would like to thank all my instructors for helping me get on the right track with everything and especially thank Jesse (Saturday Novice Instructor and Sunday Intermediate Instructor) for giving me the courage to go into the Intermediate class and for coaching me when I was in it and for helping me through out the whole weekend since he was pitted right next to me.

you're looking great, zack! this is jeff, your saturday N coach.

do you think your go kart experience helps you at all, or is it totally unrelated?

btw thanks jeff for being patient with me in the beginning.

    Karting and bike.
At first I thought they would be almost the same. but they are completely different. the lines I took on a kart were way different than a bike. and the bike has way more power than my shifter kart does. even though it does 120 mph :) its still different.

and i'm not the ONLY one that thinks car and bike lines are quite different!
