My local sportbike club C.O.R.E. (Central Ohio Riding Enthusiasts ~ www.coreriders.com) is having it's own track day Saturday, May 20th and it's hosted by STT because...well...they rock for hooking us up. ;)

We have some spots left to fill and so we're opening it up to you guys and gals of the intermediate and advanced classes that could be interested in attending. The cost is $155 (charged by STT, filtered through me) and you don't need to be an STT member but you DO have to have prior track day experience since this day will be identical to a typical STT LED day, just a little more intimate given the set up.

On and off track etiquette will be enforced so we're looking for the laid back track junkies just like us out to have a great time with tons of track time for an awesome price. ;)

If you have questions and would like in, feel free to contact me (Stephani McIntyre) directly at ninjagirl219@yahoo.com and we'll formalize the details.

If you'd like to learn a little more about the day since we'll be having special photography for WAY cheap, a BBQ on Saturday night to end the day and hopefully just a great, relaxing day of riding. Check out this link for more. www.digital219.com/core.html

I'll be there, I think I may have talked a few toledo peeps into going, too. it took a bit of arm twisting, lots of STT haterz in T-town. Having K3 as an instructor at the Team Chicago Race School, helped change some minds, too.

dear dear Brian, know you nothing about me other than what I do that helps pay for my addictions. Maybe someday I'll fill you in on all things I do when I'm not working. ;) Bonnie and Monte can help shed some light on me as well.

You think you know...but you have no idea. <----I've never been able to use that line before and I've always wanted to.

COME ON!!!! No one out there in STT land wants to come?!?!? It's gonna be fuuuunnn!!!!!

Seriously considering it... 2 days of LED at Grattan? That would be sweet!

Is the line up going to be smaller than a usual event? And when do you need to know by?

Ahhhh....that was like two years ago, I almost forgot about that. And yep, I found out. It goes in my pocket to pay for track days...that's a good enough reason, right! :D

Okay, here ya go...you're getting a straight up Stephani response that my friends would expect from me loaded with a mild dose of sarcasim since I think it's time you see the sportbike girl side of me. ;)

2-up????? Are you kidding me? That's a waste of track time, when I could be draggin' knee on the bike myself. I've got this track day addiction that I can't shake (not that I want to) which started in 2003 and since then I've done 16 track days on seven tracks including: Las Vegas for Femmoto, Cali. Speedway, Grattan, Mid-Ohio x 10, Nelson's Ledges, Putnam and BeaveRun. I'd try racing, but I'm also a freelance moto/photojournalist on the side and therefore time and money dictate all. I've been to the Gap three times (four and five this year), SE Ohio a zillon times. 20,000 miles is all I have and every one of them are sport riding miles on my virtual stock whale of a bike the Yamaha YZF600R. Oh and I'm planning my solo trip to the Gap in June for the SV Rally. Oh and I'm co-promoting a Women's Sportbike Rally at the Gap in August as well! I even had an article published in the March 2006 Sport Rider mag. about one of my track days from last year.

I really appreciate the offer though. I know my bike would be jealous if I rode something else. :D

sweet! so you talk a big game....looking forward to seeing you out there riding instead of posing at the track. lol!

you're prolly passing up a faster 2-up ride than you'll ever see one up......just kidding. (maybe)

honestly looking forward to seeing you out there and riding with ya.

You're probably right!!! I still have a ton to learn and my bike...well it still has stock suspension after 20K miles. I'm trying to work a deal with Ohlins through the barter system. We'll see how that goes! If I get one of those, oooooo...WATCH OUT!!!

    Kidding. :p

Yeah, definitly looking forward to a kick ass day at the track. I'm so excited I can't stand it!

Sorry John, forgot to reply through the junk talking with Brian. It will be identical with an normal STT day. 45 people total split into two groups. We need to know before it sells out is all. ;) You all are the last group we are offering it to, so the spaces are filling up in both classes. FWIW, the advanced class has a few more spots than the intermediate.

    Ninjagirl,

Once I get faster I would be all for it. I am still just a slow novice.

Hope to catch you somewhere else

    Thanks Brian...you're the bestest!!!! :p

Hey Nate. It doesn't matter if you're slow, all that matters is that you're smooth and predictable on the track until the confidence in getting faster comes along. I'm still not fast, but I'm definitely faster than I was at my first track day and the whole time everyone always commented on how easy I was to pass because I was smooth and predictable. Thankfully I learned to take it as a compliment. BTW, I saw you signed up for CORE, you'll definitley have to get out and ride with us sometime. I wouldn't be where I am today had I not started riding with more experienced riders on the twisties. ;)

Thanks for the vote fo confidence ninjagirl. The guy who I started riding with (he will be there Saturday on his DRZ 650 and much faster than me) used to race WERA. he taught me to be smooth and consistent from the start.

My former riding buddy now living in San Fran is racing his first season with AFM. They always said I ride great lines and very smooth just a little slow. Last few instructors told me the same things. K3 told me to trust myself more and just give it more gas.

I look forward to always riding with people with more experience and ability and learning as much as possible. Also why I helped in the pits for privateers in the AMA the last few years. Not his year though. Neither are racing.

    See you all soon!

This day was awesome for the simple fact that STT made it possible and we probably had the most perfect track day weather ever. I only looked good because Mike, the corner workers, ambulance, instructors and the entire staff made me look good. I really didn't do anything but get the people to fill up the slots a bulk coming from TSBR and CORE. I can't thank everyone enough for everything, the instructors were awesome and were there for anyone who needed them. I truly appreciate Bonnie and Monte for making this possible. I'm sorry I messed up on the BBQ vs. Lunch thing. I doubt I'll put something like this together again, but if I do, we ditch the evening BBQ and go for Lunch instead. Live and learn. ;)

I do need to apologize to anyone who had to deal with Mr. Ducati aka Wrecks Kwan Do. That is what we've decided to call him depending on who's telling their story about that retard. Thankfully he didn't hurt anyone other than himself. Sadly his pride wasn't even hurt and I think he gave Mike a problem on Sunday as well when he "accidently" signed up for Pocono and NOT my day or the LED day on Sunday. I feel stupid for allowing him to ride even though he wasn't originally signed up with us. Lesson learned.

Thanks again to everyone involved for making the overall day a success. See ya at the next track day somewhere down the road.

LOL...you're a nerd. :p Someday I'll be fast and be able to keep up with you! :p

I'm sure you had pretty candy stripers though. Is that the proper spelling? Hope you feel better soon, Lance.
