I worry about you Palella... you and this newfound zen worry me. And RA is a dump, unless you are talking Road Atlanta. If not, make it Nelson's. Then its a true test of "intestinal fortitude". Even superhero's are afraid of that place. But mostly because of the bathrooms and the real threat of malaria and tetanus. :)

i have surprisingly only two comments:
    1) who's this Nick dude he's going to talk to
    2) You know how I know fastguy is slow? because he talks about how fast he is.

funny how there is usually a disproportional relationship between how often someone says they are fast and how fast they actually are.

put me in coach.....i'm ready to play.....to play.....

Amen. FastGuy68 may say anything and everything you don't agree with, but he does DESERVE the respect of a customer. I thought coaches were selected for there ability to teach and relate to a customer, not their ability to belittle and disagree with someone at every turn. Maybe I too should explore my options on purchasing track time with another organization who uses a staff that remembers, as long as I follow the rules and keep things safe, track days guys and forum posters are customers. Justin, you have made enough of these so called "sarcastic" responses that when I think about the STT forum, your negativity is what comes to mind. I wouldn't want to be treated like this at the track, and the same courtesy should be extended to the forum as well. So far I haven't seen anything he has posted that has broken the rules, even after countless personal attacks. FastGuy68, you are welcome to pm me your info and you and my riding friends can explore our track time options somewhere else together.

You gotta slide a finger under then do a sweeping rotation as you lift. That's it, I have sloppy joe leftovers. I'm doing a you tube vid tomorrow!

You wouldn't happen to be the Pignale S that I passed on my R6 on the back straight last year at Mid Ohio, would you? I was so proud of myself! I was running in the beginner group as it was my first time there. Then I crashed in the rain the next day...damn CR took me off the wet line and when he went sideways under the Honda bridge, I knew I was f-ed in the a

    :amen:

People who think it is easier to go faster on a 1000 are sadly mistaken. People often say stuff about 1000 riders "parking it" in the corners and then making all the passes on the straights. But once you get to a relatively quick/competitive pace, that is not the case.

The guys racing 1000's carry the same corner speed as the guys on the 600's. You have to brake at the last possible moment like everyone else, but you have to brake even harder because you arrive at the braking zone carrying an extra 10-30 more mph. You have to get on the gas as soon and as hard as possible, just like you do on a 600, but you also have to contend with the thing trying to highside you while simultaneously trying to wheelie.

When it comes to riding a 1000 at a competitive pace, there is no such thing as "relying on the power", because the guys you are battling with have bikes that are just as powerful as yours. It comes down to corner speed, late braking, early/hard throttle on exits and passing techniques...just like it does on a 600. But you have to do that while trying to control a beast.

Riding a 1000 at pace is hard work. But i love it. :)

And Fast guy? Dude, I'm no internet tough guy. I got a bike, I ride said bike, even race it once in a while. I do like a challenge, but I don't have anything to prove. I'm too old for this anyways and from the sounds of it, faster than most so, that leaves me out.

I'm no cheerleader. So, tell your buddies to leave me out of the reindeer games cause I ain't racing anyone unless they grid up and do it legit. And even then, I probably will lose. I don't win very often so, it's a good chance I'd stick with the norm and continue that trend. I'd give her the good ol college try, but not sure what keyboard knee dragging wins you.

I'm out. This got way too weirdo. All of a sudden it's like West Side Story. Knives, bats and race bikes. Neato...
