New to track riding, I understand that there are standards that each rider has to meet around their personal gear. For lids, the website says, "Damage free BSI,ECE-2205, DOT or SNELL full-face helmet with face shield." I have a full-face Shoei lid but....I bought it in England. The attached photos show the lid and the markings. Genuine lid, just purchased outside of the US - will my lid pass inspection?
Just be sure it’s in good shape, never down. Also less than 5yrs old is recommended. Most track day orgs don’t check your helmet or gear. Almost all racing orgs do.
