I got an email from a rep at IMS the other day. For the past two years I've done group buys (20 tickets or more). I know it's early, but for those of you already planning on attending it's something to consider. You get a few perks in doing the group buy:

    Coupon for free souvenir
Voucher to do a lap on the track
Free motorcycle parking tag (which can also be used for cars)
    Coupons for the gift shop

The group tickets don't even have to be the same, meaning if you want assigned seating for yourself you can get that even if the rest of the group just gets general admission.

Now, I know everybody is willing to send money to a complete stranger on the intrawebz, but if you'd be interested let me know and I can put you in contact with the rep. They don't send out the invoice for the tickets until a month before the race. Even if the group deal falls through there's no catches. You're not on the hook for 20 tickets if you can't find 20 people. You just buy the tickets that you actually need.

Last year we ended up only a couple of tickets cause people bailed out on the race, but they gave us the perks anyway which was really cool of them.

They are doing it a bit different this year. You no longer have to buy the 3-day ticket. They will be offering a race day only ticket. I know this is a long way off, but I usually start working on this early in the year to get a feel for people that want to go. If anybody is interested let me know.

ETA: Of course after I posted this I see that STT had a suite at last year's race. Didn't mean to step on any toes by posting this. Stupid noobs.
