Has anyone had experience with any neck support devices?

I'm thinking of maybe get one, I seen a rider wearing one but he was riding a supermoto so I don't know how comfortable and convenient will be to ride with it on a sport bike track riding!

saw a quick guy in A on a sportbike at acc wearing one, i talked to him after a session still suited up(not about the support brace) but he seemed to have plenty movement with it on, im sure itd be something youd have to get used to though

I was watching videos about it and it seems like they don't interrupt riding that much so it will probably not be a big deal as far as being uncomfortable

Air bag vest seem like the best cost effective
    Air bag suit next option

SVPauly on here rides in an airbag equipped suit. The suit is by SPIDI I think and is a repackable system that uses CO2 cartridges. He has yet to test it, but the temptation to trigger the device is almost unbearable!

I have ridden in the LEATT brace for road racing and I didn't find it to be terribly restrictive but it was definitely not perfect. I couldn't turn my head nearly as far as I am used to while cornering and that was my biggest complaint.

no direct experience, but I know an A rider who was wearing a Leatt and broke his neck in a getoff.
    they seem restrictive and guillotinish.

my next safety item will be an inflatable vest.

Are the inflatable suits like airbags, a one time use or can you repack them like a parachute?

Draik wears a safermoto.com Hit-Air airbag vest. He has worn one for 5 race seasons now.

He's crashed in them 7 times and only ever ruined one helmet (due to scapes when he highsided at Road Atlanta turn 1), most times his head hasn't even touched even as he has barrel rolled or did a "pete rose" out of 10b at Road Atlanta...

Not only does it help support his head/neck in a crash, it covers his tailbone and inflates around his chest (front and back).

    I HIGHLY recommend them.

I looked it up, I wish I could see pictures of how it looks once it's worn on. It doesn't say if it goes inside the suit.

I've got the Spidi T2 DPS airbag suit which runs around the neck as Justin mentioned. It's not been deployed yet thankfully so I can't comment on how it actually works in the event of a crash. I've been threatened by several others that one day they'll just walk by and pull my tether though. lol

In the Spidi suit they're like parachutes, as long as the bags don't tear you can repack them, insert a new CO2 cartridge and you're good to go.

    It goes outside the suit.

Check out Draik's website or his Facebook page "TheDraik77" to see pics of him wearing his.

I have used the leatt and now use the hitair vest that r6boater posted. I prefer the vest, it offers more coverage and the leatt seamed to always be in the way.

Here is a pic of it on.

are all vests activated via a cord between rider and bike? if so, what is chance of accidental puffage when getting off in pit and forgetting to undo cord?

Zero to none on the accidental. You have to pull it hard. I have started to walk from mine and it reminds you that you are connected.

I really want to pick up one of these since I have a terrible crash record lately but am trying to figure out which one to go for. Is there any interference with humps on leathers on those Hit-Air vests?
