lynne, and i are signed up and heading to barber for the ladies weekend sept 29th through october 1st. going to need some help figuring out the track as this will be the first time for both of us there. looking forward to meeting some southern staff, members, and enjoying some southern hospitality (especially southern bbq). i have been chatting with vern about learning the track. was hoping to get a few tow's and some instruction to lessen the learning curve for the first few sessions. any help is appreciated. welcome and bon voyage. this video helped me a lot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaCG_ayXt-E hopefully, we can do another track walk/trolley. being on foot on the track is very eye-opening. the elevation changes are really something. you're gonna love it.
Awesome Ski... We will be there all 3 days.... Make sure you stick around for the festivities in the evenings as well...
I'll be there riding that Monday as well, but with the Disalvo group so I guess I won't see a lot of people, though I will be around that Sunday hanging out. A friend of mine will also be with me and riding novice on Monday, but it's her first time at Barber so she could use a nice tow around as well!
my wife lynne (snobuny) will be with you in the disalvo school sherry. hopefully she doesnt get too much faster or i will never be able to keep up. Ski
I will be going and staying Monday for a Friend. When are you leaving? We might be able to meet up in Indiana to follow each other out. My first time at the track so I will be the slow one in A on Sat morning.
From what i recall from talking to people I know that have done the 2 day JDSA their laptimes have dropped between 1-5 seconds, depends on the commitment of the rider during the program and willingness to accept the training techniques! Your dOOOOOOmed Ski, Lynn is just gonna play games with you on the track after Barber JDSA
Food at track after the day of riding cannot be beat by any restaurant... IMHO We throw down some wicked regional specialties every night! Great times are had by everyone that sticks around in paddock.......... Can't wait to cook up some serious grubbage lol
i hear ya teddy, and michael.... she is already fast. going to have to put a speed limiter on her bike to get her to slow down to my "old man pace". fplc, we might be able to swing something like that. we are leaving thursday night planning on driving halfway if possible. obviously we are staying for monday, then heading to north western alabama to visit lynne's grandfather for tuesday. then heading to gatlinburg for the rest of the week to ride the dragon, cherohala, blueridge parkway ect... going to need a vacation from our vacation AGAIN! Ski
:wheel: Can't wait to meet her! I'll try to find you all on Sunday - I should be rolling in sometime around lunch!
