I have a size 46 sedici Monza suit I bought about 2 years ago. And I've grown a tad bit since then and now when I wear it, anytime I tuck down a little bit it starts to pull back and winds up choking me. It fits great from the hips down, I'm just thinking maybe the torso is too short. I'm about 6'5 190 and am looking to get an alpinestar motegi suit but not sure whether to get a 50 or 52. I tried on a 48 and it felt about the same when I got into riding position. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

    short rise

the rise is too short now if it's pulling down on your shoulders. you need a keprotec crotch panel added . run you 75.00 and return shipping . I had all these procedures listed in another ad that was on here for quite awhile but it seems to have disappeared today for some reason? barnacle bill and darethea 859 336 7375 . but any competent shop could probably do it.

I'm 6'4" about 240. Have a size 50 suit that fit's fine until I put on the new back guard just given to me.
The suit is now tight in the crotch. Would this solution work for me.
I'm just up the road a piece in Indy.

I have an Alpinestars (can't remember which model because it's been discontinued since I got it), size 46/56 and I'm 5'10" 230 lbs. It's always fit a bit too tight, a 48 would've been perfect, but I thought I'd lose some weight. This year I finally got tired of it and sent it out to someone that works on leather suits and jackets and had it enlarged in the torso (1" on each side). Now it fits much better and it doesn't feel like I'm being squeezed in it. From waist down it's always been fine.

At 6'5" and 190 lb I don't see how that would be too tight for you, but height-wise you're probably borderline too tall for it. Most 1-piece suits in that size range are good for anyone in 5'8"-6'4" height range. Unless you're in the middle of the range for every dimension that suits are designed for (basically perfect Italian motorcycle racer body), no off-the-shelf suit is going to fit you properly. Best option is to have one custom made (more $$$) or get an off-the-shelf and send it in to someone like Bill, or any other tailor that specializes in leather work to have it modified. They can do a really good job and the quality of the suit won't be compromised, and will fit you much better.

Thanks, like I said it was fine until I added the back protector.
My torso is pretty long for someone my height and inseam short that's the reason it's tight.
Don't know of a local shop that does this kind of work, always like supporting forum members so IF Bill is game and the price is right I'm in.
Got a great deal on the leathers Kangaroo and really don't want to shell out more cash for another suit if I can avoid it. Would prefer to spend the money on track day's.
