Does Mid-Ohio provide electricity outlets for tire warmers for a fee? I know VIR has outlets through out the pit area that you could run you're warmers from, Or should I look into buying a generator? Gratten too? Thanks for any help. Rj.....CCS #153
I believe mid-ohio sells their power. you get a tag and can plug into the poles throughout the paddocks (at least that's how it works when you race there) grattan only has power in the garages (and i don't recall how much it is to rent a garage...never rented). gingerman doesn't have power in the main paddock area either. someone may correct me....cause i don't pay attention to it much since i always bring a generator (a quiet honda one by the way)
Jig, Gingerman does have power in the paddock, I remember tapping into it last time I was there, two years ago, parked down by the hot pit entrance. Last year, garages were $30 a day at Grattan. it's well worth it to get a generator. check out the Hondas & Yamahas. the hondas are about $1k for the 2000 Watt model, I believe that the Yamahas are a bit cheaper. both are quite quiet. Used MO garages last year no charge for power or compressed air , maybe thats changed for this year $50/day , try get a pass through garage ( # 10-20? ) up to 4 bikes , such a deal
