Hi I just got back from the Deals Gap area and its official I'm an addict! So I thought I better start getting into the track scene. So I need help on where to look for good quality leathers. Either somewhere with a large inventory to try on or a good deal on custom made suites. Also i'm looking for a track bike. I like my FJR tremendously but I'm not comfortable with running a 13k$ bike around the track although it will see some track time  ...so i'd like to find something around $2000 in the 600cc area hopefully like an R6 but will consider others if the deals right. Anything with minor damage would be fine as I'm not too worried about how it looks as compared to how it rides. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it. Thnx, Lance
Welcome to the club. Track riding is great. I have two track only bikes - a 1999 Yam R6 and a 2000 Suzuki SV. Both bikes have been fully converted to track use and are in great condition with lots of extras. Both bikes are number 808 and have clear Michigan titles. I need to sell one of the two bikes. I have really decided which one yet. But I will be at Beaverun this weekend with For Sale signs on both bikes. Whichever one sells, I'll keep the other. Price is around $3500 for either bike. Thanks
Thanx for the reply. If I had the extra cash I would say i'd take the R6 off your hands. but unfortunately gotta keep the bills paid so i'll have to pass. I'll just have to keep on watchin the local traders over the winter while I save up a larger wad bills to throw around...lol and if all else fails I always have the FJR
Try this. I know the guy. Nice bike, and in your price rance. http://www.racemotorcycles.com/cgi-bin/board/YaBB.pl?board=ccsclass;action=display;num=1126192205
