Monticello Labor day weekend: South & 66

I'm on for the '66 on Monday and possibly the double header on Sunday as well. I love both tracks... the only thing better is the Full Monti. Monticello kicks ass!
Sorry about the Pro-School's second-in-a-row wet day... I learned a lot in the first one and actually felt comfortable & aggressive in the wet, much to my surprise. Still.... dry days are OK!

Bummer! Sucks that work gets in the way of fun...but we's got to pay them bills.

I hope to have my new (to me) bike ready in time, it's getting close.

 

Im a new member but will be there for both days. Went to MMC for the ducati/doug polen program,loved it and returned. I have only run the north course. When they run the 66 will they leave the long straight intact or throw that like cup handle in to slow us down. One of my rides is an 1198and that has to be a 140 mph straight?

 

The back straight on 66 is faster then 140mph :shock:

In for Monday only; I took too much time scouting the weather reports and Intermediate sold out for both days I can only get in to Novice on Monday for the 66. This will make my third novice session in a row. I don't think I have the skill for advanced yet...

 

Wow in the time it took to type my last message Novice on Monday sold out All that's left are Advanced for Sunday and Monday. Hopefully someone is looking to sell Intermediate or Novice for that day, but with the weather the way it is, it's not likely

 

I goofed to! I was waiting on weather to dig in and man up.

Looking to buy Novice if someone's looking to sell.

Thanks Brad! I was literally typing an email to a friend trying to convince him to go, doing copy/past from STTs site (it would be his first track day) and when I came back to the season schedule to register it was sold out! The last two I have been to at Monti were wash outs, so weather was important to me, esp. with the possibility of a tropical incident occurring later this week.

 

yep...last time I ran the 66 was without the chicane....155 indicated...on an FZ1! I can only imagine the speeds you guys on the fast bikes hit.

I'll be there on monday for the 66. Can't wait.

 

i will be third in line. was waiting until today's weather and just went to the site. sold out however, good to see ppl are going to the events.
