Any chance Stt will have more than two weekends at beaverun in 2009? I left for NESBA last year because they have a weekend at beaverun every month but want to ride with stt in 2009. I guess if I want more beaverun days I'll have to join both.

it's hard to travel but I'd like to try mid ohio in 09. It's about 2.5 hrs or so . Beaverun is only 45 minutesi

Mid-O is 3 hrs for me. But it is worth every minute. Believe me, make the trip!!! :D

  6. most people would LOVE to have a track that close! Until NJMP opened, Summit at 3 hours was the closest to me!

    Katie,

You may not consider Pocono a race track but it is a place to ride and shouldn't be more than 90 minutes from Conshohoken.

I find it difficult to do more events at BeaveRun when we have Mid-Ohio with so many dates.

FWIW, there are plenty of dates hosted by STT and other clubs at BeaveRun...we've wanted to increase dates but honestly we get poor turn-outs at the ones we have. We lost our butts this October with the best weather we've had in 7 years. Kind of hard to do that again in 2009 when no one came to the dance this year with absolutely perfect weather.

    Make sense?

BeaveRun is 6+ hours from my home and Mid-Ohio is another 3 or so. If I'm making that sort of travel commitment, then Mid-Ohio is well worth the additional time. Would be nice to have a day or two at BeaveRun on the way to Mid Ohio, just to break up the long, boring ride.

Beve also has got one of the best motard/cart tracks on the East.

according to track marshal Mike, BeaveRun is completely booked for summer 2009.

Sucks for those of us who wanted to get more dates there, but it should mean that the track stays financially viable for at least one more season of riding :)

i find it really interesting that there's a post just like this on the NESBA forum in regards to Gingerman.

consciously or not, i think people go to the same tracks each year around the same time - thus they end up booking with the same org most years, and being to associate their one or two trips to ________ track as an "STT weekend," and not go with other clubs.

I've only done Gingerman with STT. 1 out of 7 or 8 WEEKENDS i've done at Beave were with STT.

BeaveRun is in Banlruptcy re-org.. and has been since February IIRC. NJMSP has hurt them.

NESBA goes to BeaveRun because the don't have Mid-Ohio. IIRC they also go to Nelsons.... We don't do Nelsons because IMO it is not safe for the speeds that are attainable and it is just a poorly maintained facility full of mesquitos...with little or no redeaming properties.
