Had a great time, learned a lot about racing, and managed to bring home some wood. Only 2 of us novices in the twin Superbike and 2 novices in the twin Superstock and I started back of the pack so no real "winning" I guess. The Senior Superbike novice race on the RSV4 was awesome - four of us running the entire 8 laps together and I managed an outside pass coming into the front stretch for 3rd place. Three years of mega track days, great instruction and motivation along the way from many good friends, and came home very satisfied with the weekend. Saturday - HW Solo Novice (20 laps) 5th place (RSV4) Sunday - A Superstock Novice 6th place (RSV4), HW Twin Superbike Novice 1st place (RSVR), Senior Superbike Novice 3rd place (RSV4), and HW Twin Superstock Novice 1st place (RSVR).
It was great seeing you out there and getting to cheer you on. Looking forward to seeing you at the races again soon. Now you truly are the Amish Racing team!
Were you "Provisional" and if so, did the SOLO Saturday and Races Sunday get you out of "Provisional"?
Yep, Provisional and since this was the second weekend I now move to Novice. My first weekend was through the race school that I attended last year. HJ
Oh ok, got ya... I Wasn't sure if you could race SOLO as a Provisional or not. Your doing same race classes as me so now I'm really excited for July 4th weekend!
I had considered joining you at Baa-rber but the RC needs to be tore down so no June race for the old people/machine :sorry:
From the Wera rulebook "13. All Provisional Novice Riders must wear a contrasting colored shirt over their leather for at least two consecutive weekends. Upon graduation from Rider’s School, the rider must complete two separate weekend’s events before qualifying for a Novice Status License. Under a Provisional Novice License, a rider may race Sportsman events but not a National Challenge Series event (which includes a National Endurance Series event). The Ed Bargy Racing School counts as one weekend for Provisional Novice riders.
