I would just change at the track. I don't know about the suspension. Ken is usually there but that is a better question for Mark Sheldon to answer
does anyone know if they will open the pit area friday night? On their schedule for the track it looks like they are starting their drag races back on fridaynight, so we might not be able to get in until late.
Congrats on being a first timer; you'll have a blast. The tuner's appointment list varies by the interest that day. For example, when I signed up for suspension tuning one time after the morning meeting there was not but a couple of people already on his list. Everyone experiences something different at each event. If you ride without suspension tuning for awhile then with it, you can see the difference (if it actually needed it). Since you are brand new to the track, you shouldn't have to be concerned about it during first day morning. Waiting until after lunch may be fine unless your suspension is way the heck off. Understanding my bike's suspension settings (per the manual and some general knowledge) kept me going for awhile (multiple events) before I spent the $ on the tune.
Hey Tom, I mean Jimbo, if we can't get in we can just go downtown and chase women, right? I know Suspenders Ken is pretty busy on Saturdays at Nashville, but Sundays are usually pretty free (especially when he decides to throw his TZ down the track!). You can reach him at ken@superbikeitalia.com and he'll answer any question you could possibly have about your suspension.
Damn Jimbo... I would have to say your lucky your Daughter got her looks from her Mother!!!! BTW, It was great seeing her dive into those Dogs Saturday....
I wasn't too far behind Ken when he crashed out that day, ppl in the pits was making comments like "wonder who tuned his suspension " He broke his collar bone didn't he?
I'll be there Saturday, I can't wait. First time back since crashing out early during last years track 'night'...redemption time.
Myself and three others will be down for Saturday Intermediate! We will have two guys bumping up to intermediate from novice last year and two of us will be bumping down from advance to look for additional instruction and to play with our buds at the end of the day. Should be a great time and I can't stop checking the weather every 30 mins even though it probably updates only twice a day (hoping for sunshine & low 70's).
I will be there. First time back on a track since my high side at Barber last Oct. I now have race plastics, neon orange and black GSXR 750, with my friend Tony, Kawi green ZX6R, both in Novice. Warming up, but not liking the forecast of rain!
I'll be there both days in I. Hope to get there Fri nite, staying on site in the hotel Yukon. I hope the drag races aren't too loud
I'll be there Saturday only. I have a buddy who procrastinated and now the novice group is full! bummer, but gotta say... i told him so! Glad to see you're back on the bike Vampyre.
It was very nice to meet you all and I had an absolute BLAST!!!! (Until I highsided....honestly, WHO HIGHSIDES IN NOVICE?!?)
