Hey all, I am looking to buy a technik suit. Wondering if anyone is using them and what they think. Also any help on picking a size would be great, I looked at the sizing chart but my measurments are all of the place on the chart lol. Need some for next season. Thanks Scott
Any particular reason on the tecknic (I'm not overly fond of them personally)? Pop thru kneedraggers and see what suit lines are available (they have sizing charts) and/or give a call pop thru STG and see what manufacturer fits you best measurement wise In the end they are all tailorable...you just need the http://www.spyderleatherworks.com/ and a few bucks to get them perfect (Alexa is the best)
twilkinson3- Reason being is the price. If I could afford the 1000+ I would. I am just starting track riding. Jimbo- 6ft 195lbs
44 or 46 US At 6 ft 236 lbs I wore a size 48US At 6 ft and 200 lbs i wear a size 44 Depends on where all that 195 lbs is centered Mine was centered in the middle to begin with LOL Plus it needs to be tight. The leather will stretch over a little time
i'm 6ft and 200lbs...and love my 2 joe rocket suits. a 1 piece speedmaster i've had forever and a 2 piece somthineruther that's great for street and colder trackdays both fit me great off the shelf.
I asked for 2 reasons 1) how much is your hide worth and 2) a good starter A-stars suit new is about 600ish, and the STG suits if they still exist were decent (Hein Gerke or something) and aaround there as well I'm just not a teknics fan, too much of their stuff is made to cheap or have quality issues for my tastes - your mileage may vary On the size thing - tape measure around the chest and add up to 2 inches for a back protector, Jimbo is probably right 44 or 46 US edit - should have said the shoulders are the part a tailor isn't really going to be able to move - I think it cost me 1something to get the keprotec installed on the a-stars suit (don't ask) and have the calves taken in from Alexa
