We are testing them in two weeks. I don't sell ANYTHING we have not tested.

My feedback from my friends at Michelin France tell me it is actually a tire that is lighter (2 lbs a set) and offers more grip than the Pilot Power 2CT. It is a dual compund tire like Power One and Pilot Power 2CT... but the softer edges are much bigger (nearly 38% on each side) which will eliminate the rapid edge wear currently experienced on Pilot Power 2CT and they should work better, longer and at higher track temps as well.

Basically, this tire is a very good track day tire and very well may offer a Novice Racer an option to much more expensive race rubber.

I'm guessing (though I could be wrong) that these are set in the linup between the Pilot Power 2CT and the commercial Power One? Or maybe replacing the Pilot Power 2CT?

Michelin claims 'excellent wet weather performance'. Sorry, I can't say the 'r' word :( I'm fairly certain we'll have a chance to test that aspect :)

Very interested in hearing some feedback on the Pilot Pures. There's not much info on them online anywhere since they are so new.

Monte, any chance of including these in the April 24 ACC trackday/tire deal?

    Thanks,

New guy who might join STT :)

Why worry,be happy.Tires don't cause crashes. People do. You and me. Put them on your rims. Run them. Let me know how you made out.

I agree, but I would like to hear things about wear and possibly warmup. Like most guys I have a budget and these tires are pretty cheap right now.

But if they wear super fast then that cost is negated. If they don't warmup quick then I might just run a tire that does.

    :)
