With the new Tally layout what sort of laptimes would groups be looking for? Advance Intermidiate - Upper Intermidiate - Low Novice - Group 1
first time their last week w/ nesba and was turning 1.11 avg. Intermediate, fast lap 1.09 see ya in 2 weeks
Just as a point of reference with the new layout most of the Advanced riders I talked to were about 2 seconds off their previous lap times
I think good int. times are 09's to 14's at tally. The majority of the int falls in between these times.
yeah I agree , if you're doing 1:05's get your ass in "A" and quit scare'n us "I" kids I averaged :11's but did some low 9's and a high 8 in Intermediate . All in all the times are compareable to the old layout . If you can do sub 8's consistantly with safe/predictable passes and lines then go "A" .
to be honest, I thought when I was up to speed, a CR would bump me up. I know better now, won't happen again.
To clarify for folks , this wasn't a STT event . That being cleared up , I never saw a CR , did they have them at that trackday in "I" ? You were flying that day . I know the RC is one helluva track weapon , was built for that and won a championship , but at Tally a :05 is impressive still . You need to just go "A" from now on and work on passing riders close to your speed . Buzzing us riders 5 seconds off your pace is too easy There's also a lot to be learned from getting passed by the likes of Mark or the twins . At your speed you could stay close enough to benefit from watching thier braking points and lines . I need to get down to doing consistant 8's at Tally before I go back to "A" group . I like passing folks in Intermediate as much as the next guy but damn it has been scary out there !
Which two?...lol You should let me ride yours at the next tally day....maybe.....or not. I would like to get one for double duty for sure!
Thats the same thing I said....... I rode a buddies SXV at Barber last year and when I came back to the Pits I was looking at my 2006 GSX-R 750 between sessions trying to figure out how to sell it without taking a hit.... It was gone in a Month...
no CR for Bargy day in Intermediate. hey TLR67, you guys doing Barber in June? I would hate to break the tradition of freezing while watching your big fire. Where you guys going to pit?
I was mainly kidding......however Borden and I will try and pit some where close to you guys and watch all the festivities from a far...
Yes I will be there on the 9th and 10th if I get my request to Coach... I wont have the fire pit since Mr. Barber wont allow it.. However I will be there Friday and Saturday Night... I will be pitting on the fence as close to the tower as possible.... Hope to see you guys there....Heck after the last few weekends at Tally and this coming up I just need to move to Alabama!!
I will have 2 Blue EZ Ups and a Suburban.... I have a friend coming with a Motorhome I will be with in the Pits.... It says FIONA'S LEATHERS on it....
