Hey I did my first track day weekend in July I was on someone else's bike and it was a 2010 r6 set up for the track and I loved it I was wondering about what other bikes would be good for a starter?
Thanks to all the great staff who helped me improve my skills you all rocked[IMG]

Stick with it and go into debt and buy a track bike. You will thank us all again later. You might lose your family and friends and start eating Ramen Noodles all the time and calling in sick to leave on fridays, but it's all worth it.

    Welcome!

Just about anything in the Classifieds section here, or even on the WERA forums. It doesn't even have to be a pure sportbike. Nakeds, Sport Touring rigs, etc.

SV's are popular, and I recall seeing a bargain one in the Classifieds section here recently. They're small, supported by a HUGE knowledgebase, and make a neat noise when you twist the throttle.

A SV650 is a perfect starter. And they hold their value. Lots of gadgets available. Get one that's track ready, not a street bike. Like Whitney said, you will thank us later.

And like L8apex said, they do sound cool.
