Hello, my name is Brandon. I just signed up for the novice track day at Barber on the 26th. I've never ridden a bike on track before but am looking forward to it and learning to become a better rider.

My bike is a Honda NC700x.

I've purchased a new set of gear for the track. I see that I need to tape up my lights and mirrors.

Any thing else I need to do/bring/prepare for on day one?

I'll most likely ride my bike to the track as I'm local. I just don't want to not have something I might need or bring extra crap that I don't since I'll be on the bike

As a side note, this bike is my daily commuter and I'll be looking for an inexpensive track bike in the very near future I suspect.

Had a blast! I'm already signed up to go back on 8/14. I was slow as I expected but felt like it was a good opportunity to learn the track and get comfortable. Also as expected learned that I'm a bit intimidated to lean the bike far enough, I've got to work on that. Also the telemetry from my data logger shows I'm an even bigger chicken in the braking zones and corner entry so I know where I need to focus.

Overall the group and everyone I met was very inviting and helpful. The atmosphere is very laid back compared to a lot of the SCCA/TT events I used to do. I'll probably try to make myself a regular at the Barber events.
