Hey Guys, waiting here patiently for the eastern schedule, but I just want to jump in and make sure there will be dates at NJMP this year as well as Monticello. I heard rumblings that Monticello was giving the thumbs down on bikes this year.......any truth to that? Thanks
don't believe rumors. We're in the process of finalizing our contracts and we'll release the schedule as soon as we have everything signed. On behalf of David and our new owner Richard Harris, I apologize for the delays. We hope to have an announcement sometime this week.
your not kidding holmes! being that tpm has no dates im really hoping that stt comes through for everyone.
Thanks Brian. it is taking longer to finalize the contracts than we'd expected. There will be an announcement when the process has been completed. It's taking longer to iron out a few small details than we'd expected. Relax. Breathe. We will have a season in 2011 and we will let everyone know as soon as all the i's have been dotted and the t's have been crossed.
Yes, you are absolutely right. and it seems as that is we (the paying customers) have been getting from STT. First we were told that the schedule would be released between Christmas and New Years, they have both come and gone. Then we were told first or second week in Jan., and now they have both come and gone. You even go as far as to post the southern schedule, but nothing about the northeast. So what is the excuse gonna be now?? We were told that its winter and to relax, but we cant, this is what we do, when we cant ride, we talk about it and plan for it. Other orgs have posted all their schedules and we would like to start planning out the upcoming season, but we cant. Some people are literally putting the entire upcoming season on hold waiting for a slight chance of hope from STT to post your schedule, hoping and praying that there will be dates at Monticello, and you keep leading us on saying that you have a "surprise" for us, and delaying the schedule more and more. Well guess what we are all adults, surprises arent fun anymore. I have a very reliable source that told me there will be no track days or car clubs at MMC in 2011, yet you still lead us on like you guys got some kind of special treatment. It might not seem like it you guys, but we feel like you are leading us on. If I was to do to my customers what you guys are doing to us i would be spending time in court. I as a paying customer feel that this waiting game just rediculous, and then threats to delete threads and posts about the subject is just plain childish. Why not just delete the entire northeast section? Is this how you feel we deserve to be treated? The entire north east US is waiting for an answer. I am sure this post will get deleted and the thread closed and again im sure somebody will start another thread making threats about starting new threads about MMC or NJMP, but dont worry, i didnt type this all out for nothing, i have forwarded this to a few of my trackday buddies and saved a copy of it to my computer. It will return. We are done waiting.

Yes i am new, as a poster here but i have been around things for quite a while. and my words are not just of my own, many people i have discussed the topic with feel the same way and im sure there are many more i do not know. But i do appreciate letting the post stay. I think it will also help show that our opinions will be heard and shared instead of just deleted and hidden as in the past. There may be some butt hurt going around and some guys may need hugs. I know one guy for sure that will not be able to attend many track days this year cause losing Monti means a trip to NY to NJ for every track day and that gets expensive. I think the situation could be handled a lot smoother by saying "hey guys we are not releasing the northest schedule cause we are doing every last thing we can to get Monti back, dont get your hopes up, but we are trying" or something like that. Like i said we are all adult and for the most part understanding, a little explination instead of what sounds like excuses would have been, i think, a little more professional. and i really hope anybody reading/replying to these posts keeps it civil. again thnks for letting us be heard
Listen, I know it's frustrating- I've been in your shoes before and the STT Staff is just as anxious to have things finalized as anyone. Until our contracts are signed, the terms and details of the negotiations must remain confidential. We originally anticipated having everything sorted following thanksgiving. Things have gotten pushed back, as what may seem urgent to us, may not be as pressing or urgent to our partners. We are still in negotiations to finalize our contracts and that is all I can say until deals have been signed and sealed. Please be patient. If you need a hug, I will be at the IMS in NYC on Friday. Monti-Monti I remember the days when the schedules weren't released until late jan or mid feb. But in 2010, NESBA, ABOLUTE & TPM all had their schedules up for 2011 in nov & dec. Hell Absolute had theirs up the last day we rode there in early nov!!! We all know that schedules can change, dates added and deleted. But at least we had an idea of who is doing what. I wouldn't ride at Monti in mar anyway, too damn cold. But I would ride at NJMP in mar. I happen to like Monti better than NJMP. The fact that it is 1 hr from my house is just AWESOME!!!! I hate the unpaved northern pit but that won't stop me from riding there!!! Even tho I heard rumors that the northern pit will be paved for 2011. So keep on negoiating guys, take your time, don't take HELL-NO for an answer!!! We want some Monti dates!!! Even if it takes until MARCH!!! Did I mention that Monti is only 1hr from my house.........LMAO!!!!
Confidential? Your gonna post it to the world in a few weeks anyway. What's wrong with an honest reply. How about, we are trying like hell to work something out with Monti and until we get to the bottom of it we will not be posting our 2011 NE schedule. A promise of a few surprises was already made so if their is no Monti I hope STT is building a track somewhere. And we are all enthusiasts so what's wrong with looking forward to the schedule so we can plan to get more than a dozen people together on the same day. Its def not cool or PROFESSIONAL to try to make us look like losers or "school girls".
If you read between the lines of what has been said (and not said) already, most of your questions will be answered. I am not authorized to say more than I already have and fact of the matter is, I don't know an awful lot more than anyone else, anyway. We're working on it; we'll let you know as soon as we know. That is all.
