I just ordered some Evans NPG coolant and realized I should check if stt allows that as a coolant. I know it is ccs legal, so I was hoping it would be stt legal also ..
Jeff, Wether its legal or not it will cause the same issues to traction once on the asphalt. If you're concerned about crashing because your bike is leaking your better seved with a belly pan. AMA and WERA used to allow and I believe they don't any more.
I'm not familiar with the NPG stuff, so I can't answer this one. Out of curiosity... what do you have against simple distilled water and Water Wetter? That's the ideal way to go. No org has issues with it and it works great.
from what I've heard, npg coolant cools better and is also considered a lifetime coolant, so you dont have to change it out regularly like water. It also doesnt freeze, and since my bike is in storage half the year during the michigan winter, it'd be nice to not have to flush and fill it will normal antifreeze just for storage. http://www.evanscooling.com/main27.htm that has a lot more information about it ... According to evans it still ama legal .. and this is for my race bike, so it has a belly pan already.. I'm not concerned about crashing because of it, I'm concerened about passing tech at STT track days .. edit; I just emailed monte and they do allow it.. thanks for the feedback, though
