Although there is a lot of criticism in the other Monti thread, I LOVE that track. Yes, I had a couple of frustrating sessions, and there were way too many crashes ( including one that happened next to me, sending us both off the track... a failed attempt to pass me on the inside of turn 3), but I had some of the best sessions of the season as well, which will carry me thru the long winter ahead.
Monticello rocks, and I can't wait to get back in 2011!

I too had a great time despite the lost track time. Having the advanced novice group was a great move and I feel like I made decent progress.
Coach #12 (sorry, I never got your name) kept a good pace, enough to make me push myself but not to the point of messing my shorts.

Scott, it was great hanging/riding with you.

    Yup.
Full course... So much to offer... the tech sections of South... the 165mph back straight. mmmmm.... like buttah!

Mental note for next season, though... if I want to hold off Renard, the key is to get a good drive and hold the throttle WTFO until you see the god of your choice and then promptly brake/turn before you meet him/her (goddamn this post is inclusive!!!). Good times.

Huge thanks to everyone who came out, kept a positive attitude and had fun running the full course. It was epic.

 LOL MIke you are a way to funny I totally love the way you explained our little run down the back straight the only reason i was able to get beside you was I just got the throttle a little earlier then you did. Side by side gear for gear my bike is a total stock 05 GSXR600 i was expecting you to pull ahead but we stayed side by side until it was time to use the brakes. Again totally fun experience.

That was me. It's probably my fault that you didn't get my name. (Brian)
I actually enjoyed the new group as well. It was nice to be able to go out and have a decent little pace going. Sorry about the first session.
I thought I would leave you guys alone in the afternoon to have a little free time. Hope you enjoyed it. You guys did great.

I wish I'd been there. In stead of riding bikes at 165 mph, I've been riding one of these for the past 3 weeks:
