One of our members, Robert Horn, had a bad spill at Road America and needs your thoughts and prayers. Please include him and his family in your thoughts.
How bad???? I don't want to draw up uneasy stuff or anything, but it must have been pretty bad for this thread. Since you asked my thoughts and prayers will go out too. Hope all works out for the best.
It was pretty bad, they airlifted him out on Wednesday. My thoughts and prayers are with him rite now. I've got the goose bumps
Rider Update for Robert Horn Sad news to report, Robert's condition continues to deteriorate and they tell us his chances for recovery are slim. He has very severe head trauma. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
Oh man, I was a couple turns behind him, didn't see the crash happen, but it was bad. My thoughts and prayers go out to Robert and his family.
Robert Horn has passed away. His head injury was too severe for him to overcome. He apparently had no brain activity. Robert was involved in a single bike accident Wednesday morning at Road America. He high-sided his Yamaha R1 between Canada Corner and the Billy Mitchell Bridge. We are very saddened and we mourn the loss of a member of our riding community, a husband and father. Please remember to keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this sad a difficult time. Godspeed Robert.... Services will be Tuesday night at 4 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 400 E. Westminster, Lake Forest, IL 60045. (847) 234-7633
Wow... such a terrible shame. While some of us are not the praying type, we feel the loss no less, and our heartfelt thoughts go out to the family and friends. Thanks to Monte and Bonnie for keeping us all updated.
I'm very, very sorry to hear that. It's one of those things that you don't know what to say. My thoughts and prayer go out to his family though.
This really sucks! Anyone know exactly what happened...too much throttle?? I was told about this by Mark this past Sunday at Barber and thought about it most of the day. Many prayers to family and friends.
This is definately a sad post to have to write but God had a agenda for him and he took him when he was doing what he loved. As a father, a husband, and a avid speed freak I often ask myself why I do what I do (Racing). It is a sickness for speed that makes us love riding and the risk of injury is what makes it as exciting as it is. STT and the staff do everything they can to ensure that everyone is as safe as they can be, but sometimes the inevitable happens and god takes that individual to a better place. My prayers are with the ones we lost and always with the ones that are still riding. Be safe, and always ride within your capabilities. Jamie Prohm #55
