I'll be at Putnam this Saturday. The weather forecast is calling for a high in the mid 40's. My problem is my leathers are perforated, and they're tight. Not much chance of me stuffing much underneath. What do you guys do for keeping warm on cold track/race days? Any suggestions?
Agreed. The under armour cold weather is excellent. I use it hunting and used it last year at Beaver when it was in the 40's and it did an exceptional job. It fit's pretty tight to the skin to so your leathers should still fit well.
May sound funny, but here is what I use as a windblocker with my perf suit, used over typical underarmor etc.... ...a plastic trash bag... people laugh at me but it works, and when they're comming in after 5 laps, I'm still goin'
At BArber in MArch in the AM it was in the 35-40's wore the long sleeve $ long john under armour under leathers & a hooded sweatshirt/jacket over leathers. Was OK. Also the ardenaline pump of the 1st Barber track day was a bit of a help also !
Like everyone else is referring to... Under Armor Cold Gear and a hooded sweatshirt. No zipper does best. Just do not get the cold gear mixed up with the heat gear or normal under armor in the summer. You'll sweat the 70% of body water right out of ya!
at Barber, I used a thin cashmere sweater under my leathers and a windbreaker over them & I was toasty warm.
If you have motorcycle-specific rain gear that fits over your leathers, it will really help you stay warmer. What Lance? You didn't wear those awesome white leggings at Barber? You know, the really cute ones they gave you in the hospital at Grand Rapids? Hmmm....
