Hey all, I'm Kendrick and I'm the photographer from XtremeSports Photography also known as www.us129photos.com. I will use this thread to showcase my favorite shots and have some dialog about the technical aspects of my shots.

If you have any questions about how I shoot, what I shoot with, why I do certain things, or whatever else, this is the place. We can also critique if you please :)

Please leave questions about specific tracks on other threads so this one won't get too crowded. Questions like, "when will last weekend's photos be up?" or "Can you shoot me in turn 12 this weekend?" should be left out of this thread.

Thanks guys! Now on to the fun!

Greg, I'm sure I have it, but I've got 67 emails to go through, and I'm taking a couple days here to slack off. Once I get my other computer unpacked from the trip, I'll check my email. Sometimes my emails get kicked to spam folders, so make sure you check there in case I already responded.

Thanks for your compliments, guys. I really appreciate it. I've been talking to some of the locals here, and they expressed to me that I should probably stop shooting for that awesome "put-it-on-your-wall" shot as much, and start shooting square, level shots zoomed out more. Thoughts?

great shots kendrick. i agree with mark, you have a great eye.

to answer your question though. i don't think you should "stop" shooting the way you are, but maybe incorporate some more "group" shots (if you can). i know its always cool to see yourself "battling" it out with other riders on the track. anyway. keep up the great work!

I disagree. You have enough people shooting to get plenty of those shots. My problem with some photographers in the past was that they only had one person shooting and couldn't get the artistic shots. I'd like to see some panning shots and more of the creative shots. Gina and I have track photos hanging on our wall and set the frames up so we can swap them out when we get better ones. Keep up the good work -Michael

I hope you don't mind some input from a yank, but, in my opinion, these pictures are fantastic! The angles you use give the pictures a lot more life, and I'm very impressed with the creativity of the shots. A standard level picture of someone riding a bike seems boring compared to what you have shown here. I guess there would be no way of getting you to come to some northern track days to take some pics? :)

I could if you put in a good word for me! :) Thanks for your compliment; I'm gonna blush! I used to shoot at Loudon, and I liked that track a ton.

Ooooh, I hope I can get you something to go in those :)

Sorry, did I get something incriminating?

Man, don't change a thing about your technique/style.This was my first event with STT and was completely happy with the group, by the way. I have seen several other photographers at different orgs. and they don't even come close to the number and quality of shots you get. The others almost never get close-ups, don't seem to know what we want to see since their not riders themselves and don't seem to have an eye for a good shot. You obviously do on all accounts. Oh, and thanks for the "Get Low" award, that was me on the orange and blue gsxr. I gotta give the CR Tyler with the X on the front of his bike some serious props for towing me around and showing me where to find some speed both days. He's the one waving above. You also got me walking with my daughters to the concession stand in the pit pics which was really cool. Keep up the great job and thanks for making the weekend more memorable.

Glad to see you made it home safe Kenny! That get low shot is an awesome picture of you. I was actually going through all the shots of you and you can actually see in the pictures that you are getting faster and having more fun! I hope we see you at a few other STT days soon!

Kenny, you've inspired me. Your words describe exactly what I'm trying to capture in photographs - making your day more memorable. I'm extremely glad I did.

I'm also happy that everyone is enjoying the pit shots! Out on the track, everyone is separated. First of all, riding a bike is really kinda lonely, even when you're with a group. In the pits, it's nice to see that behind that tinted visor is a normal guy or gal who sweats, laughs, and eats just like we slow folk. :)

Ego stroking aside, I just gotta tell you, you were the talk in my group's pit on occasion. One of my friends had your wheel for several turns and watched you. He's convinced you got a lot lower than that shot at times; said it was sick to watch. Love the orange, too.

Dude, I don't know what to say. Thanks for the kind words. I'm not good at taking compliments. I try to check my ego at the gate and just learn as much as I can from everybody and pass it on when I can. I see you're in Raleigh, I live in Holly Springs near Apex. We're doing Kinsey's Roebling date this month and Nesba's Roebling weekend 2 weeks after that so if you're going look me up. Thanks again.

Skill coupled with humbleness is an admirable quality. Great to have guys like you at the track! One good reason I'm likely to become a track junkie. You see, CMP was my first trackday ever! My experiance up until that point was street riding in the western North Carolina mountains. I haven't yet made plans for my next trackday, but I will soon.

I'm moving to Cary (Kildaire Farms) in two weeks with my fiance who went to Apex Highschool. Are you from the area? Biggest asset of my new digs - two car garage. If I'm not riding, I'll be wrenching on my bike. Gonna turn my garage into sanctuary...bike stand platform, beer fridge, iPod, LCD TV for watching Speed Channel, etc.

Man, that's practically next door to me. Apex and Holly Springs are small towns on the edge of Cary. I live a few minutes from anywhere on Kildaire Farms Rd. Congratulations on taking the trackday plunge. You'll definitely never regret it. Well, maybe financially! I'm from FL but been here about 12 years so I'm practically native. As far as people at the track, majority of people are super friendly but I think the sport draws alot of big ego's that need fed, too. So, I always seem to find at least one of the latter type. Especially when your faster! You should come to Roebling with us, right now there's 4 of us for nesba's weekend or 2 of us doing Kinsey's day. His school is good for new track riders too. Shoot me an e-mail if you want motormech1 at earthlink dot net.
