There should be no problem, just get there early and get a garage and leave the bike in a garage Saturday. You may want to share a garage with a few of your friends. C Ya there :D

In the past with Reduc, there has never been an incident with theft at an even that I know of. Hotel parking lots are another story.

Good tires, at least alf a tank of gas and leave the key in it.... We'll watch it for you!!! Pocono night races anyone....?

Seriously, The track is MUCH safer than a parking lot.

What's this about garages? :?: IIRC there aren't garages in the Pocono East paddock/pit area and the NASCAR garages (in the big track paddock) are usually occupied by car clubs. I've left my bike in the Pocono East pits many times, but don't recall having access to garages when riding on the East course. If garages are accessible from the East course and available for May 19-20 that would be great! Please confirm.

    Thanks!

We've been rescued from the gravel ghetto and allowed to mix with the cars, provided we behave ourselves.

What does that mean in practice? Unless there have been modifications to the layout the garages are still a good distance from the East paddock, no?

Would there be any point in using the garages during the day? IIRC there isn't a PA system in the East paddock and I doubt you could hear (potentially important) announcements from the garages. I hope my musings are incorrect because the NASCAR garages would be nice to use.

As things are changing at PIR, does anyone know when the front gate will be locked? I have heard there may be a cook out/BBQ? If I stay for that I need to leave to home Saturday night.

Is anyone RV'ing inside the gates Saturday to Sunday?

    Thanks,
    Walter

    Walter,

    I just called the track.

    1. No bike drop-off Friday night.
    2. There will be Saturday night access to and from track.
    3. I was told no garages, as two car clubs have access to them.

I like the Accuweather forcast for Saturday better than The Weather Channel's.
