I'm considering doing my first trackday at Carolina Motorsports Park. I don't see anyone commenting on the services available at this event, or even any comments on past events at this track. I'm very interested in start doing track days so any info would be helpful.

I just registered for the event and I'm looking forward to meeting some of you. I can only hope everything goes good for my first time. :D

I've been to Carolina Motorsports several times. The facilities are nice enough. There is a lot of sand so you have to be careful about sand on your tires and sand in turn 1 on the track. You might want to bring a broom.

The track is fun. I'd say it is a technical track. It's the first track I got my knee down on so it has a special place in my heart. :D

STT is a great organization. The novice classes are AWESOME. I join them everytime because it's a great reminder of what you need to be working on. The instructors are top notch!!

As for preparing for a track day: start putting out what you want to bring early. Make a checklist so you don't forget anything. I've heard stories of people forgetting a helmet or a bike key. That would suck.

I'm signed up for Sept 30 at CMP. Can't wait!!

hey i signed up a few day ago my self for the sep 30/oct 1 days

under novice. never done a track day but guss some one is there to instruct the novice/new track riders how to do it.

i have a gs500f she isn't real fast but hoping that the 500 will not be to slow for the novice. no one can give me any real detail on the track as to how it may or my not perform.

do we get information in the mail about how or if we got the track day? i never got a confromation (spell) so i guess i just show up and my name is on a list.

I'll be there instructing those days and you'll be fine on the GS500. It's a great bike to learn the track on!
