So I am looking at getting my first suit and kind of in a bind as the company I wanted to purchase my leathers on are backlogged and won't be able to get one done for me in time. Right now I am considering an Astars Mogeti from cycle gear as they have a free track day with it so its a good deal. Or I have found a Komodo K-LT for a pretty good price (used). Not able to find much info on Komodo so I am kind of iffy on them. Can someone offer their advice? Or make another suggestion? I am willing to spend up to $800.

Look at the Cortech Adrenaline. Awesome quality for a good price. Brian reviewed it on STG.

A little out of my price range and looks like they are EU based. I need them by the end of the month.

Knew a guy that went down in Komodo leathers at ~85mph. Leathers wore through at the forearm and he has a nasty scar to show for it.

Not saying they're not a good brand. I really don't know much about them, but just wanted to share one case that I saw where the leathers didn't hold up.

Look into Spidi. STG has the RR Windpro for $899, reg. price $1200+.

I picked up a Spidi Track Wind Pro from Riders Discount last fall. $1400+ suit for $699 shipped. I've had other Spidi's in the past, and they are my favorite. The new Spidi I have is by far the best suit I've ever owned, and I've damn near worn them all.

I do have a Komodo race replica suit from the Safety First Racing Team. Nice suit as well. Heavy, but well armored. Asphalt surfed for more than 100' at over 100mph. No busted areas or worn through areas.

    SPIDI FTMFW!!!
