i can get a hell of a deal on a brembo rcs19 and i'm going to pull the trigger, but i have an 06 636 with galfer ss lines. do i need to buy the remote reservoir kit, and a new banjo bolt as well? i couldn't find any definitive answers. something about a stock reservoir nipple being 8mm and brembo uses a 6mm nipple, and brembo uses a fine thread(1.0?) banjo bolt thread pitch, and most oem banjo bolts are not fine thread? also what pads would compliment this master well? i am running ebc hh pads now, and i'd like a nice and progressive feel to my brakes. these ebc hh pads seem pretty well for this, but this is a track only bike, i am not sure if an upgraded pad is necessary or not?
vesrah rjl for the pads, i went from the ebc hh to these and they are phenominal, as far as the other questions i am unsure
If you have a single banjo fitting at the master you will need a new banjo bolt. The rcs comes with a double banjo bolt. It is a finer thread then most Japanese banjos. As for pads, you will get lots of opinions. I switched to Galfers with the RCS on account of Huey's recommendation and love how my bike brakes now. Either way, get some good pads, bed them properly, do a good bleed on the whole system, and rcs is amazing. You won't be disappointed.
exactly what i wanted to know. i did some reading up on pads and i believe the rjl's will be a good fit for me based on how people describe them, and i needed to know if it came with a double banjo, specifically. thanks!
Brembo RCS is a 10x1.0 thread banjo bolt. (10mm diameter, 1.0mm thread pitch) Kurvey Girl has them in single and double height. Most Japanese bike Master Cylinders use a 10x1.25 bolt
