Looking for imput from quick R6 owners.

I bought a used 03' R6, valved front end, ohlins rear and haven't changed the geometry at all but have new oil/seals/bushings. Forks are 30mm above clamps and shock is 295mm from eye bolt to eye bolt. A local CCS racer i know (1+ seconds faster than me at my track & 15 years younger! :) ) suggested setting my forks at 20mm above the clamps, his shock length is similar.
Not sure if anymore info is needed?

Thanks in advance for the help!

You really need to know what your current trail number is before you go to changing the bikes geometry. There is a good base number between 90 and 100 mm of Trail. Keep in mind, anything shorter than 90 mm and the bike will turn very fast (unstable at high speed and little to no feed back before you find yourself on your head). Too much Trail, 100 mm or more and the bike will become hard to turn in (the trade off is more stable at high speeds and mid turn w/ better feed back and the front will have more plowing effect before you find yourself on your head).

There really is a tone more to this that just pulling the fork tubes up in the triples. But that's why people like GMD or FSS get paid to work that little bit of magic that makes a rider say wow.
