hey i have like 5 questions so here we go

1 are the old pilot slicks taller than the dot pr's?

2 whats the deal with the new pr2 front tire?

3 how do i know if my pr.s will last me my hole race?

ok that is 3 now a little insight as to were i am coming from

i race a sv650 i bought of a guy who took 3rd in wera nats on it

a few years ago on it and when i got it, it had the old pilot slicks on it 12/60ft 160rear the bike is set up great so i dont want to change tire size so i got pr's 120/60 soft 160med an went racing at nelsons, spanked the front so went to the mich man to get new skins and he had no 12/60 in his truck so i told him my story and he told my that the old slick was taller and the 120/70pr is a lot closer to the 12/60 slick than the 120/60pr was, so i said cool, he said for the times i was runing(1.18s) a med mite push just a lit, so i got the 120/70 med, next race the front started to pust in one turn so i changed my line a lit and it got better, then i a few laps later a went down in that same corner

4 was it the harder compound,or the higher front=less weight on front tire that made me crash? (i was running 1.17s that race and i corner better than i do anything else so that is were i make up my time)

5 can i run slicks w/out warmers? (i have warmers just no gen)

    thank you for your help

    stupid hurts!

I have one set of wheels with Pilot Power street tires and one set with slicks for a GSXR750. While changing the front wheels/tires I could tell there's was a height difference, because the Power slides right under the front fender but I have to tilt the slick to get it under. I measured about 3mm of difference in ride height. Doesn't sound like much, but the bike turns in slightly better on the Powers. Someday when I'm feeling ambitious, I'll lower the front end to split the difference & see if it turns in any better with the slicks. Not sure exactly how that translates to PRs vs slicks though.
