Anyone know where I could get ahold of just a relocator for my stock rearsets or how I could go about fabricating something up? I know LP used to make them but I believe they're discontinued. I know I should just buy rearsets but I don't have $250+ to shell out on that right now and ground clearance has become a big issue for me. It sucks being on a budget :( if only I had unlimited funds.

That's what I'm talking about, thanks alot. Still kind of pricey though in my mind for what it is, but beggers can't be choosers I guess.

I'll check them out and see what they have to offer. I'm pretty confident I could have someone around here machine me something I'll have to check into that route tomorrow.

If I had an R6 to take measurements from I could make a set. After all I am a metal fabricator and that also involves machining too. I can't build something to nothing though. I don't have the bike to take measurements from. I'd say your cheapest route would be if you had a friend that machines for a living. I don't know if that's viable, but it would be cheaper.

Now that I mentioned it. If you are ever at the track when I'm there, let me know ahead of time and I can bring my calipers and sketch something up really quick and I can make them for you if you want. Just let me know if you need the help. I'll be at Grattan on July first and I'll be at Mid-Ohio on the 4th.

Thanks for the offer I really appreciate it. I'm actually riding an 01 R1 right now, I just use R6 in my s/n because that's what it is on a bunch of other forums. Unfortunately I won't be at MidOhio on the 4th but I will be there on the 22nd most likely. I know a couple people here that may be able to fab something up so I'm going to get ahold of them this weekend and see what they can do.

That sounds cool. If you ever need anything fabbed for your bike really quick in the future let me know. It's what I do and I don't mind helping out other track junkies.

Ohhh yes an addiction it is. It wasn't bad at first until I started realizing all the things I need to go even faster ie. rearsets, steering damper, suspension, race tires, etc. etc. now it's getting a bit costly lol.

OHHH YES I KNOW!!!! I'm getting pretty bad myself. I live check to check and I'm actually debating buying my Grandpa's RV (He's pretty much giving it away.)and living in an RV park for now to cut some costs. I know that's pretty bad, but hey.....I'm kind of a redneck anyway   and I'm single. Obviously if I ever met a woman that could put up with me I would live somewhere else, but who cares right now. The addiction is bad in me too.

I got mine for a case of beer. Doesn't everyone have a brother who runs a machine shop?

I dont mean to rub it in but if you can draw up what you want you might be able to find someone to make a set for you.

The cheapest way to get more ground clearance would be to hang off more. Get more body weight low and inside and you can stand the bike up more.

I'm actually at the Nurburgring, so I'm 6 hours ahead of Eastern time. What's your reason for being up so late or early?

I know my reason. I work midnights and ....Ummmm....my supervisor doesn't come in until 6:30 in the morning. As long as I work smart and get my job done, well I kind of don't sweat at work all day.... Man I'm a good shammer. :D
