Thanks to everyone who set this up, cooked, provided food, etc. Food was great and definitely plenty of it.
Had a great time yesterday, it was fun being out there with some fast guys totally humiliating me! LOL! Seriously though, good group of riders and I didnt see anything hairy going on, lots of smooth fast guys, Nice!
Amazing weekend! Had a chance to ride in A for the first time yesterday and it was great to experience that. I was riding the orange 1st gen SV650. Unfortunately, I went down during the last session on north track's T5 (can't recall full #), I'm sure you all saw the grass on fire as a result of the crash, LOL. Apologies for ending the session early! Thankfully, the crash was minor with no injuries and minimal damage to the bike.
Big thank you to everyone from STT, Lee for great coaching and a special thank you to Nick for the loaned back protector. I took to heart everything I had learned from Owen, Dean and Wally on my previous weekend out on 8/3-4 and I really felt progress was made. I hit my marks with regularity and started to get my upper body off the bike much better in right turns. One last nod to Chris and the guys in charge of N on Monday for taking the large number of "advanced novices" we had allowing what is typically groups 1 & 2 to be groups 1 -6.
I would like to thank Dan Ortega for coming out and helping me with the Advanced class. It was the fullest class I've had since we started it. Lots of good questions and discussion. Thanks to Shelly (Evil Twin) for organizing and putting everything together. Bomber and crew for cooking and grilling and everyone who brought a tasty dish to pass. Lots of good riding going on this weekend. Eric Lindgren was riding great, Dr Shelly gets better every time on the track. Steve Brammer was getting his new 636 dialed in and Levi was overcoming some hurdles with his ZX10. By the end of the day he looked much more comfortable on it. Bogdan, Borris, Jake and Jen, thanks for the hospitality and the cevapi!! And who could ask for a better pit neighbor than Wayne. Always great to see Dave Withbroe and his whole crew come out. All the bikes are beautiful. A big thank you to Dave for letting me ride his newest bike he acquired. And what would Autobahn be without the signature big storm blowing through. Classic ACC. Hope to see everyone back next year.
