I noticed in a thread that Roadracing World magazine had done a comparison and rated several brands of bodywork. I can't find that thread anymore so can someone tell me which magazine issue has this article? Thanks, Adam O.
The Road Racing World article was a couple of years ago. I think that Armor Bodies came in first. Others that did well were AK Composites (now Attack Race Bodies sold by Attack Performance) and Shark Skinz. I personally have used all of them and you can not go wrong with any of the three I mentioned. I am currently using Attack Race Bodies and they fit and finish is one of the best that I have used. Attack Race Bodies usually has most body work in stock.
I have used both armor and shark skins and both crash well they hold up better then cheaper brands. If you buy the better brands you will spend less after a crash as cheaper ones will need to be totally replaced. My $.02
It's the February 2003 issue you want. You should definitely look at GP Composites as you shop for race bodywork. Outstanding workmanship and they faired well in that same RRW comparo.
