Dang Tryce, you'll be there in a couple of weeks. As for the rest of us......WEEEEEEHHHHAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! Let's go to Savannah! I wish it were warmer. I'd hit up Tybee Island one night. And since we're there, we might as well take a field trip over the OTHER racetrack in Savannah. Pretty neat. Here's the article I wrote that made the cover of TDM back in September. http://www.trackdaymag.com/Articles/Ghosts-of-Racing.aspx
Is the track pretty secure? I was thinking of just dropping off the trailer (enclosed) and heading to the hotel...instead of dragging it with me.
I'm doing the same thing Friday evening Jon. I'm dropping the trailer, setting some things up, heading into downtown Savannah for dinner, then to the hotel.
Yes the track is secure.... Gate Locked at 9:00. Just leave your keys in the bikes for our Midnight Stunt show and Flat Track event....
If Dave has the tyres covered I'll bring a couple extra cans of fuel for you guys. Just because that's the type of guy I am.
Seriously it is fine to leave your stuff there.... If you want to put it by us look for a 40 foot Raptor Trailer (White) and set up near us.. We will be out past midnight howling at the moon keeping Mark and Lois up anyhow... BRING ON 2010 !!! Hawoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
After of course! Much easier to do those slow speed wheelies with a good wide flat spot on the rear tire!
Wish you were joining us Dave... However I know you will be busy this weekend hanging those #1 Plates in the Garage... Congratulations again Man!!!
Heading out tomorrow...forecast is looking pretty good too! For the guys/gals that haven't been on their bike much all winter like me let's take it a little easy at first till we get comfortable again and acclimate to the speed.
Busy in the garage yes, but not on fun stuff. Have to put lower ball joints in the truck (after 201K not unexpected). See you soon!
Should be at Roebling in about an hour, to an hour and a half. Coming through Dublin on I-16 as I type this ....... mobile intrawebs FTW . That and a wife who drives for me
Home glad to be home, but am ready to go back to the track already  Wasnt a bad weekend for the customers. NO transports as far as I know, and not an extraordinary amount of crashes.... considering it was first weekend after hiatus for most of us. Quite a few cold tire crashes that were pretty minor, and I think only one "major" injury s far as I know Get well soon Matt , Collar Bone........ sucks :x Motorin Marks bike is STUPID fast on a straightaway FWIW (compared to my 600 at least )
A great weekend all!!!! Weather on Sunday was awesome!!!!! Heal up quick Matt! And don't sneeze for a couple of weeks.
Im insanely jealous of you all. I had my bike out this weekend in 36*F weather on city roads. Not nearly the same as being down south or on a track I can imagine, but god was it good.
Had a great time...Sunday weather was just fine, if a bit chilly in the morning.....what is the web site for the photographer??...thought I had it, but not having any luck.
