we had an awesome time at Monticello North at the last event, with the PRO School and Sport & Supersport formats, even if it was raining for 2/3's of the day. Next up is a break from our normal routine, for STT's only visit to NJMP Thunderbolt this year: Saturday & Sunday, August 7th & 8th. we will be running our normal format of Intermediate, Advanced and Novce groups and as a special treat, Saturday evening, there will be *BBQ!!! Who's in? I'm coaching Sunday & cooking Saturday. please let me know if you're hanging around for the Q in the BBQ thread in the general section: http://sttforum.com/sttforum/viewtopic.php?t=8043 *by BBQ, I don't mean meat cooked over fire. it's much, much more than that!
Bump! Is anyone in for this event? Bueller? Bueller? Anyone? BBQ, People, BBQ!!! I can serve up to 50 people, but I do need a ball park number so I know how much food to make. Please rsvp here: http://sttforum.com/sttforum/viewtopic.php?t=8043
Im' INNNNN!!!! I'll be there! Love the 'bolt'. Staying in the Suites...gonna get a garage too!!! Arriving late Friday night....couple others in tow!
BBQ Details: I'll begin preparations for the BBQ soon, I start shopping for groceries this evening. here is the tentative menu: • Smoked, BBQ Pulled Pork Shoulder & Tenderloin. • Smoked, BBQ Brisket. • Smoked Leg of Lamb. • Smoked, BBQ Pork Ribs. • Homemade Baked Beans. • Homemade BBQ sauce. • Jicama Cabbage Slaw. • Corn Bread • Collard Greens There will be a suggested donation for the meal and folks are encouraged to bring their own, favorite home-cooked dishes to share & we'll all eat together in the paddock, family style. There will be a discount on the donation if you bring a dish to share, potluck style. Frank From MotoClinic will be taking appointments for suspension settups for sunday morning, as well. In addition, after dinner and the sun has gone down, we'll have movies projected on the side of David's trailer. I've got a few MotoGP & WSK season wrap-ups as well as V-Four Victory & the Roadracers, about the late Irish roadracer Joey Dunlop, On Any Sunday, The Long Way Around and Faster. If anyone has any other movies please bring them! (anyone have "the Doctor, The Tornado & The Kentucky Kid"?) please let us know what you'll be bringing so we don't have 6 people bringing their favorite macaroni salad! Desserts are encouraged and homemade is best! see you next weekend!
Shopping is done & prep will begin shortly. This is gonna be some awesome Q, people! I still need y'all to rsvp & let me know what you're bringing!
I'm in! Unfortunately, the 7th is SOLD OUT, so a few of my friends that wanted to ride can't go. Can't wait until the last minute PEOPLE!
It's worth the drive just for the feast, and when I spoke to David the other day, there were some spots open for Sunday
I suppose I could bring a few trays of my famous chicken wing dip if you have the means to heat the stuff up. But be warned. Everyone I've intro'ed this stuff to is addicted to it like crack.
Awesome! We'll find a way to heat it up, one way or another. I'm bringing a 2 burner hot plate, a chafing tray, a couple slow cookers, but if anyone has another slow cooker, preferably a 5-6 qt one, it will help.
Hey Lance - I'll be arriving on Saturday and riding on Sunday. Let me know if you want to use my grill/smoker - it is sitting in my garage right there inside NJMP next to the Lightning track.
It might be useful. Give me a call tomorrow if you still have my number, I lost yours when I got a new phone.
Slow cooker In for both days will bring a slow cooker. Flying pit crew in from Fla. (Wife) will also attend. Sounds like a great time to be had can't wait. Did the lightning last time STT was there with Buell was great. Looking forward to Thunderbolt.
