Hey guys, Im lookin to get some frame sliders for my 06 Gixxer 600 for some track days, and Im unsure which ones to get. Im thinkin of Woodcraft or Motovation. What do you suggest? And should I get the shorty racing ones? Thanks for any input you have....!

I haven't used either of those brands, but have been using Vortex frame sliders for a few years and have been happy with their performance. They've been "tested" a few times and done their job admirably. Plus, they are two-piece, so if you need to replace them, it end up being cheaper because you can just replace the Delrin slider part (leaving the aluminum base in place).

I think Vortex only offers one length, but they're pretty long . I would go with the longer ones anyway...more material to grind through before the expensive parts start to sustain damage.

I've got the woodcraft sliders, they're great. I'd previously used Vortex, but I like the woodcraft better, if only for aesthetic reasons. both perform reasonably well, the woodcraft are perhaps a hair better.

I like the woodcraft ones also. If you have the misfortune of going down, the pucks are easily replaced on the woodcrafts, you just take out the bolt at the base of the puck. On other brands, when you wreck the end of the puck gets deformed and it is sometimes a pita to get to the bolt out in order to remove the puck.

Thanks guys, I think Ill look into the Woodcraft sliders. Would you recommend the standard length or the shorty puck?

R&G also make sliders. I have them on my bike. They use a "softer" bolt so when you're sliding on concrete your slider is grinding down. But when you hit the grass, instead of digging in and flipping the bike, they bend and dissipate the "flipping" force so your bike just sort of glides to a stop.

My brother and I have personally tested this (unfortunately) and it really does seem to work that way. They also seem pretty durable as we have only had to replace bent bolts so far (special order from a bolt supply place, but not impossible to get).

    My two cents,

I guess that would make sense.
