I have a question for you all. I'll be headed to Jennings and I am considering taking a KTM 500 over there for one day. I do not have a sumo set up and was considering getting one until I found something called a 'sportsman supermoto', which seems to be basically putting street/race tires on the stock 21/18 rims, such like these: http://www.avonmoto.com/products/non-dot-race-tires/roadrider-non-dot I know it would be better to have a full sumo set up, but still there seems to be a lot of people riding the crap out of this set up, and I don't know that I will like a sumo at a sportbike track, therefore thinking about giving this a try before dumping $$$ in something I might not like. I'd be comfortable riding 21/18, I already ride the crap out of this bike with knobbies at the twisties. Would STT allow this setup/tires on a bike at the track? Has anyone done this before? Worst case if I don't like it or doesn't feel right, I can jump back on the gsxr. Thanks!
