Awesome comments here. We played with a few Ohlins numbers Carr got and plugged them into the 1199. I struggled a ton at the races the weekend prior with rear end grip and the rear not squatting under load. We did some CRAZY things to it that just shouldn't make sense in a traditional sense and the results were crazy. The lap times at the track day was almost as fast as my race pace and I had more to offer.

We softened and stiffened and reset geo on the bike and the results were great.

I do believe that setup will make your life SOOO much better. It's finding that setup that can take time, but when found, it rewards a great deal.

Well my official review is that the refresh was totally worth it. Time wise I lowered my average lap times from 1:24's to 1:22's and a PB from 1:23.74 to 1:21.80. Some of this was due to a lesson on how to take turn one as only JfuggenT could explain so gracefully. haha

The biggest change was the feel of the front end. I finally had some confidence to start trail braking how I wanted to and try to get to the apex as fast as possible. This was a huge difference from just setting my speed early and dealing with the feeling the front end wanted to fall away the rest of the corner.

Final thoughts if you don't have the money to improve your suspension the least you can do is maintain it correctly, the benefits may be more then you expect.

What track are you running 1:22's at?

Its looking like it might be more then that...possible throttle body issue which could spell the end of my year. I fired the bike up today for the first time and the revs went strait to about 8K (that's higher for me then it would be for you) :lmao:
