    ? regarding storage/shelf life of tires. I maybe getting another bike for the street and eventually turn to track once current bike goes ARGGH!
    I run Mich 2CT's on my current "track" bike 120/180 for my 600 and since Im not an agressive "I" rider I have been able to get ~6 trackday out of these. If/when I get another bike another 600 how long would it be resonable to keep in storage before I put on street bike? Stored in garage in WestPalm Beach FL, so there is really no weather effect/ no major drop in temp below ~ 40 in winter.

    I would think the main concern would be heat cycles in them but being the way they make 2CT's now and most other tires as long as you're not storing it for like a year you should be pretty good. Not really sure if that's what you were asking or not.

    I've always heard that you should store tires in a cool dry place and out of the light. They should keep for a while in those conditions but ultimately it may not be worth it. Sell the take offs and bank the money for new rubber when you get your street bike... or just sell them and use fresh take offs when they become avail for the streetbike.

    a good rule of thumb is;

    tires are cheap insurance.

    if you have to question it then pitch the old and buy new :)

    They're street tires, so they're made to handle the cold & heat cycles are much less of an issue than they are with race tires. Toss them in a corner until you're ready to use them, then ride them until just before the air starts to come out. :wink:
